2016 Christmas

Christmas Eve with the In-Laws

Christmas Day with my Trueblood

It wasn't as sad as last year. We still miss Dudung, today of all days.

Next Gen v201612

The ionnes were MIA, so here's half of the next gen. It was kind of a sad day but we managed to hold our chins up and give our brightest smile for the kids.

Swim Club Christmas Party 2016

The little girl was jubilant the entire time, no problem there. As for me, I tried not to awkward with small talk and be truly thankful for the gifts given to us by some of the parents. I wish I have gifts for everyone though.

Another milestone in my social life, ha!

Coach has been playing the Milo Champ Moves song in loop since yesterday.

G: Dapat kay Mami yan eh no kasi may Energy Gap sya.
D: *With a sly smile, nods head in agreement*

The dadi of my dadi

He is turning ninety tomorrow! We truly are proud and grateful for having him still with us to this day.

I tried to psych myself and surpress the drama queen in me. Today is a happy day and my dad would've wanted all of us to be there for the clan.

Couldn't hold it anymore when I heard my

brother sing my dad's favorite song. I can't seem to stop my tears from falling and just let them be.

It felt good to be back. Last time we went home was New Year's Eve. We missed everybody as much as they missed us. It's settled then, we will be back for this year-end countdown.

Twelve Years

Ang mabenta naming selfie with photobomber D

It really is getting more challenging to take a decent photo of this kid. I'm trying hard to do it photojourn style.

Pico De Loro Beach Club was such fun and relaxing place to be. Mahalya lang talaga!

We dont have a decent picture of us. May attitude tong mga kasama ko pag sinabing mag picture muna kami.

Initially booked a standard room but was offered an upgrade for an additional 1.2k. We got two beds and a balcony overlooking the lagoon. No regrets! :D

Toiletries :D Shower cap for G hehe

We head on to the beach until sun down.

After dinner, we tried to knock some pins down.

Yup, top scorer! 🙋

Settled everything with another set. I chose to cheer for D this time.

Anime Screencaps: Orange

Goes to say that even when you're having your fave food or drink, whatever you feel affects its taste.

I thoroughly enjoyed the scenic transition shots.

Watercolors are eyecandy as well.

Connecting through music. #kiligtothebones

Oh, my heart! 😢

Such a relief, Suwa was there to comfort Naho.

Regret trully is a bitter pill to swallow

I have more but I might not finish this entry if I post everything. Meaning, I adore this anime. Will I watch it again? I want to.. but there's still a lot out there huhu

Anime Screencaps : Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

I was on the lookout for this series since I've known about it from Anime IG feeds I follow.

I was so engrossed with the story I resisted taking screencaps and gave in only after about 3/4 already.

First look at our Kabaneri

Paint. Sip. Laugh

I came across an article on High-Pressure parents and tried to evaluate myself if I have become one.   Two years ago, I already took a couple of step back in terms of monitoring D's school homework and stuff.  I trust that ever since she started schooling, we have already imparted with her essential study skills to be able to perform well.  I have always believed in making the whole learning process fun for my daughter.

High grades are great but I prefer a balance between academics and non-academics.  And of course, whatever would make my daughter be a happier child.

Happy artist-wanna be
And since we've already covered swimming for her physical activities, I was searching for something that would unleash her creativity side for the weekend.  I had to cancel our initial reservations with Sip & Gogh weeks ago and resolved to make it happen this month.  And so we did, yey!

Blending the colors
Almost done!

City of Pines

Planned more than a year ago, this trip is long over due.

It has been a tradition between O and I to be together and celebrate her birthday. If not on the exact date at least on her birth month. It's one of those events I try to compromise with hubby and D because it'll mean a day away from them.

Highlight of the trip: Lomo Ribs at Canto and VVIP Acoustic Jams at Duyan's.

I swear there were times it seemed like we were teleported back in college, living our carefree-student lives. I did try to have as much fun as possible despite missing home. Guilty pleasure, indeed.

People Places Things

Happiness is not a sustainable condition.

I loved that I was able to learn a bit about the thought process of a graphic artist. Of a projection of a picture of a pipe with words that is not a pipe. And that the gap between two panels is the connection of the artist and the reader.

Truly an awesome, heart-warming flick.

Balang araw...

Had a delectable late lunch with mudra.

And a sinedate with M #CampWagi

We were discussing the rationale behind us, married ladies, wanting to watch the local chick flick. I don't have an answer, sorry to disappoint. I have to say though, I really felt their pain and was able to empathize with the main characters.

Also, the hilarious drunk scenes made me miss drinking like a fish.

Basta, balang araw.

Buwan ng Wika 2016

Grade V danced to ati-atihan this year.

D also participated in a skit about philippine history and played a two parts: a local in barong and saya and a japanese merchant doing barter.

We had pizza after a quick visit from her pedia. She have to take some antibiotics and decongestant to address the discomfort from her right ear.
