Dani has leftover paperoons from her previous packs, made use of some and drew a sunny meadow with pretty blooms :D Inside are hardbound copies of A Very Hungry Caterpillar By Eric Carle and Princess Baby by Karen Katz from Powerbooks.

Chillin' In Baguio

It has been a while since we visited my dad's parents.  It is quite a challenge for them to travel nowadays.  My aunt needs to prepare urinary incontinence products for my lolo and medicines for my lola.  Still, whenever there are important milestones and family events, they make sure to be there with us.  Saw a recent photo of them posted in Facebook.  They enjoyed the cold weather in Baguio for a weekend getaway.  I miss them both.  I'm glad despite their age, they still get to go around and enjoy life.

Lest you believe me, we were inside the couples room at Fitness First MOA. I was able to snag 2 coupons from DealGrocer which includes body scrub and massage. After a half and hour of pampering, warm tea was served at the lounging area. For our next visit they offered a 2hr long 4 treatment package at P2.2k for couple. We politely declined.

The Impatient Patient

Or should I say too excited customer hehe Dra Angel brushed her teeth, scrubbed off yellowish stuffs which I guess turns to tartar if left alone for too long. Put the sealant for the last tooth and retouched one molar. All done in half an hour more or less.
The dentist noticed her tattoo and asked TLG to bring her one on her next visit, which is on october. Damage: P500.

My yoghurt!

Our main purpose for going to SM last saturday was to visit Dani's dentist. Sadly she told the receptionist she'll be at the clinic later than usual. We've had lunch at Max as per the little girl's request. For dessert we tried the new froyo stall My Yoghurt. Its a self serve store selling P20 per oz. For the uninitiated, like the mom in front of me, the bill will catch you by surprise. She paid P300+ for three cups filled by her kids prolly to their hearts desire. I saw their mom who frowned for a bit as she paid their orders.
Anyways, vanilla with gummy bears for Dani. Strawberry Banana topped with Blueberries for yours truly. Hubby beg off, not interested as always.

Working Lunch

It has been a very productive day for me so far. I love booksale. I only spent P250 for these reading materials for the little girl when normally it would cost me P100+ per piece.

Prior to our trip, I've read MM's review of 21's Batchoy but listed it as a nice to have in our IT food list. It was raining and the sight of Calea's shop seems elusive. Wish I had me one of those golf course gps downloads to help us navigate through Bacolod *sigh*

From the jeep, I caught sight of the restaurant's facade.

"Are you sure we can afford to eat here? It looks expensive." Digging through my memory bank, I recalled the batchoy being served for P80. I tried ordering their bibingka but it was not available. So we settled from two orders of Batchoy Special with eggs, please.

Later on we realized we should've ordered only one as the serving is actually enough for both of us. Sayang our bowls were half finished. Though we loved the soup, we just have to leave room for dessert :)

Body Parts Fun Review

Last week the little girl and I reviewed for her long tests which includes body parts.
I typed printed and cutout 30 body parts. Armed with masking
tape she instructed to correctly label our true to life human model hehe. We all had fun as ate sol was slowly being covered with tags.

Bad Dream - Foot Doctor and the Ghost

In the middle of the night, dani woke up and told me she had a nightmare. I hugged her and tried to get her back to sleep.

Later when I came home I asked about the details.

She went to a foot doctor with her dad. The foot doctor said her feet are dirty. The doctor asked her to look at the binoculars (i think microscope). She didn't look because she's afraid she might see a ghost. The doctor said the ghost was the one who made her feet dirty.

She also saw her classmate Aimee bumping to the fence. The ghost took the colors and sound. End of dream.

Ambition

Remember when you were young and adults will ask you want you want be when you grow up? The little girl simply answers: I want to be a mommy.
The other day she eagerly told me: I want to be an animal doctor.. And be a mommy.
Like all parents I just want her to be happy. I'm sure she can be whatever she wants as long as she puts her mind and heart to it.

Firefly

Last night Dani almost swatted this poor guy to death. The little girl tearfully said, "I didn't mean to kill him. Well he got to live for the entire night as it's lifeless already this morning. Note to self: Buy book about insects. Dani wants to know about them.

Cherries

Bought some groceries at Landmark Makati for P190 a pack. One small nectarine cost me P40. Hubby is not interested, not dani's favorite either. Tomorrow will share with my siblings hehe

Student Permit Update

Paid P318, I know I should have asked for change but the fact that I should ask for it, sheesh. Best to prepare the exact amount, P317.63. Sabi nga barya lang po sa umaga hehe. I was out by 9:55am. All I need now is to practice and wait for a month to apply for my non-pro drivers license. Oh also don't bother downloading the application form on the site. The couple ahead of me and I were given new forms to fill up. The guy asked the LTO Staff in Customer Service why they do not accept the downloaded form. I wasn't able to hear his answer. Didn't ask anymore as I don't want to irritate him and just prayed I'll be able to get my permit unscathed.

This branch is the one near Makati City Hall. Arrived at 730am. Lined at Customer Service Window at 8:05am. Currently waiting at Window2 DL Evaluator. Couple ahead of me seemed grumpy. Must have skipped breakfast to be first in line hehe
