Timeout

I was here as early as 7AM, settled myself at Starbucks viewing deck at the back. Staff's inside already preparing the coffee shop but it'll be 30mins more before they officially open for the day. Soft folk music served as my background music as I relax and relish the awesome view in front of me.

Five
Good thing I brought with me a good book. Knowing Olgs, I know she'll be late. An hour after, my date arrived and animated chatter started trying to catch up with each others lives.

Lunch at Leslie's, Olgs said it's better than RSM. They have two versions of bulalo in their menu. Naturally we asked what is the difference. The special version has potatoes and corn otherwise, justifying it's additional price of P55.

Beef Bulalo
This bulalo is tonto, TONTO! Walang utak, walang utak! Hmpf.

We have to ask the waiter to have it reheated as it's almost lukewarm. I want it piping hot as it should be served. A few minutes after, it was brought back to our table. No dice.

Anyways, Olgs is craving for Inihaw so we opted for barbecued Pork Spare Ribs Platter. Again, we asked why it's called platter, does it go with something else. Wittily the waiter answered, "Wala po syang kasama, nasa platter lang po kasi sya." Oh, I see.

In the middle of our lunch, a bus of Korean tourists arrived. In an instant, the place seemed a little less hmm.. calming :p Buti na lang we have this view:

Time for coffee and dessert. No other perfect place but: Bag of Beans.
O+K=OK
We have this cozy nook for ourselves the whole afternoon.

I got me some carrot cake, more like loaf and bottomless House Blend Coffee (hey, we're planning to stay the whole afternoon kasi hehe). Olgs ordered their chocolate mousse despite me insisting she get cheesecake instead. I used her dessert to liven up mine.

Carrot Cake + Choco Mousse
Spread the love

My heart was doing cartwheels caused by two cups of their House Blend Coffee :D
Black + White

To end the day perfectly, we treated ourselves with one and a half hour of massage at Tonton's spa. Dry massage lang pala dito. Not sure if it's worth coming back to.

The whole day feels like an extended birthday gift to myself :D Thanks hubby for letting me have a day off. Next time, date naman tayo ;)

Anyways, was able to find a pink bathing suit for my little todpole. The one she used a year ago is too small already. Maybe it's just me but I'm really having a hard time looking for pretty and affordable swimsuits for Dani. Not to mention that it should be pink.

Saturday morning, after a little episode with the daddy, Dani can't wait to swim. So off we went to our clubhouse pool and enjoyed the cool water under the heat of the sun. We started at 9am and left two hours after.

Immediately after bathing, the little girl conked out on me. Super tired but happy. Teacher Betty has texted us the schedule for this summer's swimming classes. We are so looking forward to it.

Now, if only I could find a new swimsuit for me hehe.

Qoola vs Golden Spoon

Tekeng, parang mas masarap to sa Golden Spoon :) Do you think if we eat this everyday we won't be needing commercial fitness equipment to keep fit? hehe

catch is, it costs much more too for P75/100grams. Got to taste White Macadamia Chocolate and Green Tea, paid P82.50 for 110grams. The lady who assisted me said 100grams is approximately half of the cup provided so tancha-tancha I wasn't that surprised on how much I'll pay at the counter.

Summertime

Often we'll buy pakwan and singkamas on our way to Batangas. After we've rested from the trip, we'd trek along a ravine down the river and prepare for our picnic. You won't find any metal buildings here. Anyway, We'd have marinated BBQ sticks smokin' on make-shift grill and pile the fruits under the cool water for dessert later. We'd swim to our heart's content and halfheartedly regret later as we drag our bone tired bodies trying to climb back home.

Good times, indeed.

Left the house quite early, baka magprotest ang little girl I'm going out. She knows I don't have work on weekends and that I should be home. She's too sleepy to protest when I kissed her goodbye.

Off I went to my parents house and watched Everyone Says I Love You. Past lunch, we hailed a cab to cubao and snacked in Burgoo Gateway til around 4pm. We were on our way to Cubao Expo when we saw people waiting in lines already. I told sis we better fall in line to, cubao expo can wait after the concert.

Even when we passed the gate already, we have to wait for the soundcheck to finish. Good thing we were second in line as we got good seats. It was worth the effort, it pays to be early (when you have cheap tickets hehe)

Backstreet Boys Live in Manila

Of course prior to the concert, I secured our tickets early despite me getting from free seating area.
It's a Date

During the concert I so wanted to just sit down and listen to their voices and watch their moves. However, I was thinking the boys might mistaken me as bored and I thought I'd show my love by participating and singing along. Grabe there was a part that Brian's voice faltered, it almost broke my heart. Imagine how hard it is trying to get your voice heared amongst hundreds (or was it thousands) of voices. Kakaawa. Everytime I hear feedback from their mics, I want to kill the soundman, whatever he's called hehe.

Now you know what's in my playlist for the next weeks.
