Salmon Steak + Veggies

Salmon Steak + Veggies

Though I prefer the fish as sashimi, I also enjoy it when cooked with sour miso soup or grilled or pan fried with veggies. My suki from the market sells them fresh and slices them up with sharp spyderco spyderhawk knives, careful not to violate the pinkish flesh any further. Which reminds me, I may have to cook this dish later for dinner.

World Blood Donor Day 165 / 365 140610
Originally uploaded by kaleidoscope08

I have been wanting to donate blood ever since. I believe my blood is clean and safe and confidently answered yes when I was asked by the nurse. On three separate attempts, I have been denied and was told my veins are too small.

Last Friday, I really am happy I was actually permitted to give blood. I was suppressing the joy I felt overshadowing my nervousness as this would be my first time. I can endure the pain from the push and pull of the needle with just the thought of being able to help someone. If I can, I'll do this regularly, if only the same person will draw my blood haha

My next move would be to get a donor card, in case something happens to me and my organs are still intact and useful, someone can recycle and benefit from them :)

The challenge now is to stay healthy and stick to best natural diuretics. Aja, fighting!

My old man just turned 59 last Friday. Just got back home as we, all present thank heavens, celebrated his birthday yesterday. We spent the whole day together, watching chinese movies, stuffing ourselves with junk food like there's no tomorrow.

As expected with age, my dad's health is deteriorating. I noticed his hands tend to tremble more similar to his mom's. Did I mention that we want to celebrate so we kept to the good stuffs and just laughed it off.

Even at his age, I know he still want to do a lot from his bucketlist. Dad, happy birthday! Praying for your health (as well as wealth hehe).

Box

A couple of weeks ago, we were window shopping for furniture and one particular beige sofa set captured hubby's eye. He was asking if I liked it enough to buy one already. I told him we'll look around for other stuffs and go back once we've had the chance to think about it thoroughly. I'm the type who gets pressured to make a decision by a hard-selling attendant mostly specially by some who know you took a liking at a particular item.

So, we rushed out of the store and found ourselves in front of the appliance center. I've been wanting to upgrade our TV ever since my brother got an LCD TV for his living room. I was buying my time until new models come out and prices for previous models drop significantly. Above photo shows you, I didn't wait long enough though haha I didn't see our quaint house with more than two tvs, neither are we going to upgrade soon. So it's safe to say, we wont be looking for another one in years to come :) Meanwhile, the little girl is more than happy to watch her cds through a bigger box :)

Tale of the Frog and the Tadpole

Father Frog: Sure! (Prolly anticipating his Me time)

Talk about burning those calorie-packed breakfast flies, Father Frog didn't even drop nor pick us up at the pond and made us hop the whole way and back. Mister sun was promptly up and shining, the skies are mirrored blue sea with clusters of cottony-soft clouds here and there. No sign of green lily pads but the frog and the tadpole are pleased to swim their weary amphibian slimy bodies under clear peaceful water.

Splish. Splash.

Six, I mean.

What do you give to someone you've been living with for six years already? Considering the five years we've been dating, meaning I've been with the same person for.. gasp.. more than a decade now. I feel like reminiscing my first anniversary gift ideas I've thought of giving him just to let him know his relevance in my life and his place in my heart, naks. I searched anniversary gifts by year from PaperRoses website and found this:

Time to get mushy folks :) Unfortunately, our special day was spent just like our ordinary weekdays. Still, I love him more than yesterday.

To couples out there, cheers to us and keep the flame alive! :D

Now that I got the right hand part, need to fix the notes for the left hand. Being able to read (and sing the song) made a whole lot difference compared to my initial attempt.

Anyways, I've watched the series with my dad though I've no specific memory of its episodes, I do remember Mr. T and his jewelries :)

Look at them now:

I'm looking forward to a sequel :) I like the new A-Team, 넌 어때?

But I have to say that personally, this is by far the best adaptation yet:

Robin Hood Men In Tights Movie Poster (original)

Crowe's version was too long for my liking, maybe if I had more time to leisurely enjoy the movie, I would say otherwise.

Film Title: Robin Hood

I felt a tight grip on my chest, it can't be help but the tears fell as the heartless Godfrey taunted and killed the old man. For a man of 84, he should've been reading colon cleanser reviews but heck he put up a fight and even managed to nip his opponent's forehead.

Props to Blanchett for portraying a lady no longer waiting scared-shit in the shadows but instead we found fighting alongside the man she loves, quite worthy of a feminist's praise.

As always

I cried, no surprise there. The movie didn't get me to reflect much on the afterlife though as opposed to the book. I felt the movie provided closure when the killer accidentally slipped from a cliff caused by a harmless icicle.

I'm catching up on my movie log. M and I took a quick trip to our suking deebeedee shop, try hard as I may to control myself from hoarding, I still ended up with cds I'm not quite sure when I'll be able to watch. Lack of sleep = effective acne treatment system for me as I've a couple of unwanted settlers on my face already.

Explosive much

“The expendables” by Sylvester Stallone

Anyways, did Stallone had too much botox? I swear, he has a couple of lines where I asked hubby, what did he say again? In the end, I didn't bother understanding the dialogues anymore endured the "fireworks". Too many characters fighting for sceen time with a phasing that seems eager to start the action already.

Clearly, hubby liked The Expendables to the point I felt he wanted to pick a person up and throw him in the air himself.
