Burot Beach Revisited

It's been a year since we've been here. Nothing much has change. Nature is able to preserve herself, if only we don't stress her out with our careless wasteful ways.

I am truly grateful for sharing this place with my travel buddy Ms O. Because of the cloudy weather, the sky hid the setting sun and the sea of stars.

The next day, we tried to explore more of what raw treats are in store for us.

O had a blast playing with this school of fish.

We noticed that there are more garbage now. Even when we tried to gather and pick up some, there's just too many trash. Visitors, please clean as you go. Be responsible and considerate naman.

Cultivating Independence

Bit by bit, I try to teach her how to deal with the real world. Tasks like encouraging her to buy her favorite peach mango pie by helfself seems small but this scenario will help her:

Overcome shyness.
Clearly express what she wants.
Choose alternatives.
Budget and check her change, if any 😅

Somewhere in Bagac

Most if the time I just want to strangle these two for making it hard for me to have our picture taken together. I have to settle with crappy groufies and be content on our happy memories instead.

World Street Food Congress 2016

Played the third wheel just to partake on this food event.

I was only able to taste the ribs and the churros as waiting in line from the kiosk to kiosks is quite daunting for me. We'll be back to try the lechon and the satay offerings.

Should you decide to go, best if you're not yet too hungry. I wish I stayed for Up Dharma Down but your southerner here misses her two dearlings at home so off I went half-begrudgingly.

Well, I'll Be

Currently reading about a teenage girl who ODed on Mary Jane and went to Hell.

It's a more recent work from Palahniuk with only 3 stars in GoodReads. Usually, one should read an author's famous book first, Fight Club in this case, but I was intrigued about the plot so I went with this one instead.

Have you dog-earred a book yet? :)

Idle Hands Idle Minds

It's been a year since I started knitting bonnets. Though I am not abandoning this kit yet, figured a little variety will help me unleash all this crafty frustration in me.

Supplies are on the way. As always, I pray for dry hands 🙏

Sunday Slowdown

Yep, maybe I'd convert the room upstairs as my shed one day.

Thanks Tekeng for capturing moments as such. 😙

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I appreciate learning the author's process on seeking happiness even when she's already happy.

I will be printing her Manifesto until such time I've drafted mine, soon after writing this review I hope.

I might've already known some of her keypoints but knowing how she applied them in her daily life made it more applicable and realistically achievable.

The Stork Got Invited

Because three out of ten Lunch Buddies are expecting parents, we packed some baby stuff we believe will come in handy in their exciting journey :)

After much debate, it was settled. Dinner at Peperoni Pizzeria, it is.

I like the overall ambiance. They need to review their playlist though. 😜

Lunch No Buddies at BoTan BGC

It's been a while since I've gone solo. It was a quiet satisfying quick lunch. I will come back for the mushroom soup and pair it with a bread or something. No repeat for the milk tea though.

Staff service was ok. Seems like a cool place to hangout as well.

Bonding at the Music Store

Yesterday, while hubby's finding the perfect car key chain, D and I took a peek at the music store nearby to check some headsets for her. He then followed us there and he suggested we buy cds for our daily drive. Now, why would someone do that?

Despite having numerous offline playlist in all of our phones, usb hdds loaded with tunes, I think it's still a great idea. Because cds account for novelty and novelty brings happiness.

It took a while before we decided on three cds as the price is still not as cheap knowing you can get some for free. The things is, we have yet to listen to them and find out if they are worth it only until after purchase. Oh the thrill and anticipation! ^^

I thoroughly enjoyed picking out from a quite limited offering at the store. I would playfully mock him with his cheezy choices as he would with mine. I would love to listen to albums like we used to when Music1 had listening stations.

Nostalgic, really.

How we spend time most Saturdays

We lounge on the sofa and read. So absorb she is on her book, oftentimes she can't hear me. I don't like to be disturbed whenever I'm reading as well, perfectly understandable.

The Jungle Book Movie

Took the day off as I can't focus at work with my toothache and all. Woke up quite late and by the time I finally decided I've jad enough sleep to last me a century, I made a mental note on today's to do list.

One of which is to spend time with pretty. Lo and behold, The Jungle Book is now showing in a nearby cinema. Quick fix to cabin fever.

D found it full of suprises what with all tje jump scare scenes. We haven't read the book yet but somehow have some idea of what the story is about. In her words, D said "The plot was nice."

For me, I felt it was well worth the P200. I particularly like the rendition of the jungle animals. I enjoyed the "Bear Necessities" duet as well.

The Falls Thirteen Years After

It's a feat to be back with hubby and D after so many years and be able to see this body of water fully revived and well-taken cared of.

Draft about this trip is in the works. I just have to blog about this rn.

Mindoro Trip Day 1 - Tukuran Falls

(c) sirc_cute via Flickr
We have no photos here as hubby accidentally deleted them.  Don't worry he's still alive but I made sure he'd be careful not to do it again.

If you are coming from Calapan Port going to White Beach, please pass by this awesome body of water.  It would take you approximately 30mins of travel on rough road from the main highway to the jump off point.  One may opt to take the carabao ride for P450 or trek about 1.5km to reach the falls.

Don't worry about food as grilled meat are offered on site for about P250 a meal.  Afterwards, crystal clear water awaits you and a chance to be pampered with hyrdo massage.

We left the place by 3pm to meet the rest of the family who are already checked in at Agbing Resort.
