Cooling It Down

As much as I'd like to bring the whole gang along, I think it's essential we three get to bond with just us.

We didn't book any tours and spent most of our day time searching for food or strolling along, taking it in--the daily hustle of Baguio City.

Highlight of our trip: our filling breakfast in Patch Cafe and great reads found in Mt. Cloud Bookshop.

There are happy memories in this playground.  Kinda sad the Home Assoc wasn't able to maintain it.  Gained some heart points this morning.  Figured I get some despite the peeking sun so I can just chill the rest of the day.

Badly need endorphins rn.  Too much stress and sadness lately.  Aiming for consistency in reaching at least my daily steps goal.  Himnaejuseyo!

Advice for the Newlyweds

Because the host was filling up dead air while the fam search for the missing bride's mom (who's apparently puffing her lungs out quite far from the hall), G's cousin, the bride, asked for my husband to talk in front and say something.

I was nervous for him and would've ran to his side grabbed the mic and shared my thoughts instead. Good thing I kept still as I too am cuirous what he have got to say.  After stumbling for words for five minutes or so, hubby collected himself and just stayed true to what he knows to be the best advise he can give.

Understand each other.
Go to church, if not just a short prayer will do.

That's basically the gist of his 15mins speech lol.  If I was the one up there, you bet you'll hear more on how we got together, from proposal to wedding preps stress and the hows of staying married for this long.

But then again, maybe that deserves another lengthy post for another day. 

My takeaway from this event, being the first we went to as a couple sans D in a looong time: It's not so bad when it's just the two of us.  Heck, it was bearable lolz

So far, no one has noticed but that's okay.  It really is just for me and me alone.
I've bookmarked several colorful tats tho not sure if I'll have another one done.  Maybe when I'm fifty, just to signify my golden age hehe

Ok, you'ved been warned!  I love the Tindahan ni Aling Nena the most lalo na yung burger, toothpaste, toothbrush atbp bits.  D laughed at the panty part lolz. It got heavy and dark in the second set and the uplifting moment was during the curtain call already.  If not for that, I would've ended up feeling depressed :p

Can I just say how happy I am to watch a play with  these two?  To be able to do this as a family, given our varied interests, is quite a big deal for me.  I hope we can have more interesting plays (but something light naman, please like Hamilton haha) in our local theaters soon.

Me Time and Some Hearty Brekkie

Nah, this ain't gonna be a food blog.  I was never a food blogger anyway but I do love food and I blog.

We missed the alarm this morning, with the help on vacation, we've no choice but to join the morning rush with a blackhole in our belly.

I feel like I'd be super irritable should I punch straight in the office hence the quick detour to this luxurious brekkie place.  It ain't cheap but the crunchy chewy waffles were worth it.

Tween to Teen

It's bound to happen, eventually.  Graduation, work and then maybe marriage, childbirth and, to be morbid, death.  Meanwhile, let me just hit that pause button and relish this moment.

Definitely, she's an extension of me with a sprinkle of my personality but with so much more.. potential.

I was never this close to my parents to freely talk about my future.  I grew up with a straight path focused on finishing college to find work and give back to family.  I wasn't given other options and I was a good enough daughter with no need to ask for more.

For my daughter, I choose to be a guide and witness whatever person she would like to be.

My route to work has deviated from the usual and I think I will keep taking it from hereon.  There's quite a bit more walking but I get to buy practical foods along the way.  I guess apart from kuya taho, there's kuya pinya to look forward to.  Brighter and fuller mornings ahead, yes?! :)

My fone is always close to dying (I cannot play), I keep forgetting to bring my book (because I'm tugging along a smaller bag), I have all these thoughts in my head, meaning you might just hear from me here more frequently *fingers-crossed*.

So what's your plan?

I fear my indecisiveness may result to deletion of long curated photos in flickr.  Most days I feel indifference like I could actually afford to lose our photos and then some days I feel panicky like all memories are lost forever and everyone will forget.  Like I never existed and it didn't matter and the life that I had didn't happen at all. 

There's a simple solution to this drama of course.  For a price, I get to keep everything online but I am a cheapskate and I simply don't want to pay on top of "useless" things I pay for like this effin' blog that's going nowhere among other things.

Yes, I am stalling.  Yet again.
