I have a lot of feels as an aftermath from watching Jems and the Holograms. Nope, I did not play the game. I gathered fans where disappointed, all the more I wanted to see. I sure am glad I did. My thoughts are based solely from the movie and its awesome soundtrack.

I so love the track: I'm still here.

Yup, we are fans of Happy Feet :D Just watched Happy Feet Two in 3D. The animation and cuteness factors of the characters was well worth the price of the tickets the husband paid for :D

Now nampyeon has a new mission for tomorrow: grab a copy of the novel because we're quite excited to revisit the story again. We are currently on Chapter 6 of Mumble's Journey. Meanwhile, I am assigned to load up the OST in the little girl's phone ;)

I was channel surfing while I was waiting for the (30mins worth of) ads to finish and for Imbestigador to resume when I chanced on the movie. The guy was ruggedly handsome *surprise* He had me at "idiot".

The other night, I managed to watch this film about a popular manga on underdog high school cycling club while waiting for my parents who were driving back home from my brother's house. It tells of individuals who must work together as a team to win the championship. With no support from the principal, low in funds, the coach must've taken cash advance for the training expenses. I've picked up a couple of cycling tips here and there, not that I have any plans to do so in the future. The plot was predictable, everyone went home happy. I must say, the Ace Biker is a cutie :)

Harry has just finished the second task for the Triwizard Tournament and tied up with Cedric. I forgot that Ron is the thing Harry will miss most. I deferred watching movie #3 so I can proceed with book 4. I'm itching to do so, just to revisit The Yule Ball episode. Curious how the movie makers were able to visualize the magical setting the book demands. Think they might've used acura legend custom floor mats or the likes?

I remembered Professor Woody suggest pursuing a career as an Auror to Harry. I've no idea how things'll turn out in book 7 aside from The Big Battle. Long way to go..

My bad. I got the titles mixed up. Anyways, I'm loving Cap's WW2 costume, super sharp!

I was able to score free movie tickets with hubby last Thursday night, that's a great freebie considering the whooping P200 per head price tag at Greenbelt 3 cinemas. It was an effective diversion from all the drama of my last day at work. Yup, you heard me right. I am officially a bum starting Friday.

Anyways, the action scenes were fast paced and I can't help but get tired on behalf of Cap, he does run a lot ;) We didn't know we should've stuck around until the credits ended. It has been sometime since hubby and I saw a movie together but we're both eager to go home to the little girl and didn't linger long. Ahh to be a parent..

So, I am now anticipating the Avengers, having read some tidbits here and there. I doubt though if I'll see it in the big screen. No work, no pay.

I must be blind but I'm not seeing artcarved wedding bands with the chemistry between these characters. Having said that, I liked the film and the moral story revolving family ties.

It was only after reading the FAQ at imdb did I realize that the scenes after the credit was supposed to be a prelude to Red Skull's search for the cube in Captain America. I don't follow Marvel Comics and wasn't aware of the upcoming Avengers movie on 2012. Hubby resisted watching my copy with me. Knowing him, he'd prefer to watch once we have the HD copy already :D

I think ditching a film halfway is becoming a habit already. It would be more interesting if Jake's character'll sell weight loss pills for women in the future. Anyways, I'm forced to so I can attend to my little girl. Usually I get up around 2-3AM and watch whatever. However, every night Dani gets up about 2-3 times to pee and she'll drag me back to bed while mumbling: "You always do that." Pertaining to me staying up late outside the bedroom instead of sleeping with her. Other times I will try to slip out when she's back asleep only to be found out again later, so I just give in and sleep. It's a new work week, I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish this movie but I'm curious how it'll turn up.

Copied the movie from my brother and was kind of intrigue with the buzz from the forum.  Halfway through the film, hopefully I can finish it this weekend :) Got a couple more movies lined up.  I think this is the first Swedish Film I've watched.

Finished!  It's supposed to be part 1 of a trilogy but I don't think I'll be eagerly anticipating the next one.  I wonder if it has something to do with the not-so-typically handsome lead guy haha.  Someone in the forum was rude enough to suggest he use abrasives on his face.  I've read great reviews on the books but I'm not getting myself a copy.  Maybe mystery-thriller is not my thing nowadays.

Dani knows the gist of the story as I've read to her a shortened version of it a couple of times before. We saw the movie poster one time and I asked her if she wanted to see it in the big screen. She has this habit of getting me excited over us watching a movie but when its ticket buying time she'd chicken out on me. I try not to get my hopes up when she answered yes.

Anyways, it's been drizzling earlier today and the last thing I want is a bored kid but us parents are too lazy to mess around with art stuffs and too proud to rely on Playhouse Disney. As we're running low on weekly perishables, I asked the husband for a short trip to the wonderland of SM :)

After confirming that they are running the movie today, I asked the little girl again. As expected she said she wanted to watch it. So after the husband had his haircut, with hotdogs and popcorn on hand, we surrendered our tickets and found ourseIves the best seats. I was kinda worried she'd get bored as the beginning is different from her book's version. However when Gulliver finally ends up in Liliput, she laughed with the rest and managed to sit through it till credits. Ad opportunity, a liliputan tries to unlock Gulliver's apple iphone, sheesh.

Honestly, if it was just me, I would rather watch it at home. I'm just happy we get to watch a movie with the little girl.

Next up, Tangled. We have the book already so she's kinda psyched about it also.

While watching either I have to cover my eyes due to sexual content or peek between my fingers during hair-raising scenes or just wait until my heart jumps out from my chest from too much suspense. How can a child forget such movie. I was too young to remember the title of the film nor it's actors. All I remember was one of the actors is pogi (Keanu) and a woman sipping blood from a vampire's chest near his nipple :D

It was only now that I was able to understand the plot and finish the movie with my eyes uncovered. I still cringe at gory stuffs and when Mina kissed the old Van Helsing, eww!

I'm about to go through the FAQ and check if I missed an oximeter or anything else. Later!

Gone hunting maybe

can't help but let you know my take on twilight stuffs. i did download the soundtrack prior to watching the movie and though I didn't like it much, i decided to wait how it'll fit in the movie before giving my full judgement. i wasn't really aiming for premier tickets and really avoided the internet to resist temptation of viewing the film online. come friday night, an all-girls-nightout with minnie and ate keng, with high hopes and poise in check (as i vowed not to shriek or gush), we finally saw the movie. I was surprised of the style and cinematography as I wasn't expecting it to be indie-ish. With that I can say that the OST did fit the film. I've already imagined Full Moon to be used somewhere during a long drive and glad to see that it was used when Bella was on her way to the airport.
I particularly like the part when bella stepped out of edward's car, cue Spotlight, I was sort of floating/gliding with the couple as they passed by shocked forks students. May I add that the intimacy of their kissing scene suprised me, call me.. conservative.. but I didn't expect that much, it was trully intense, whew!

i just finished reading midnight sun (draft) the other day and would love to read the rest should SM push through with the book :D

Friday lunch, I went to MCS and stocked myself with dvds, 14 of them to be exact plus two tv series. I did went to various stores with dvds on sale but I just don't have the heart to buy any knowing I can buy a copy for P40.

I was able to watch Enchanted and The Spiderwick Chronicles both of which I enjoyed watching. Cloverfield would have been nice if it didn't use The Blair Witch method. Here's what's still on queue:

So I've read from abie's blog that Grissom and Sarah are engaged! :D I'm currently listening to Across the Universe OST and like my sister, I love Jim Sturgess more specifically his voice singing Beatles. I haven't blogged about the movie, but i've been wanting to see it since I've read about it from hmm. toni's blog it think :D Buti na lang may deebeedee sina mami :D I've also seen The Other Boleyn Girl, I tried focusing on his face and tried not to laugh seeing him in his costume :D Eek talaga kasi incest pero sayang hindi natuloy love scene nila ni Natalie hihi

Coding kami today, pero late na kami nakaalis, pano naman Dani was clingy this morning. Ayaw akong paalisin, akala siguro wala akong pasok kasi I'm not in uniform today. Later we're planning to buy a small pool for her. Enjoy talaga sya sa water eh. Just passing time while waiting for things to kick off here at work. It's friday anyways and most have this can't wait for weekend vibes with them including me.

Still no yaya. Our neighbor, two houses from our left, mentioned to my mom she'd love to work for us. She'll take care of Dani while we're away and then go home when we're back from office already. I'm not sure if it will work out for both of us since she also has two children to look out for. She reasons her husband is just at home anyway and can look out for them himself. Still, how will she eat? Will she eat at home or will she eat with her family?

Movie: Penelope

Hubby bought me new supplies the other night and decided to watch Penelope first after I've read its good reviews from Y!Movies. Of course I'm not posting a movie critic as you know I'm too much appreciative to give a sound review. Anyways, I just love the colors in the movie which reminds me of Amelie so much. I haven't research about its technical details, also wouldn't mind watching its commentary. Every subtle detail was well thought of, such eye candy. Maybe later i'll visit the movie's forum at imdb. Ricci and Witherspoon both look younger here (that or i'm just the one getting old). As for the lead guy from "Becoming Jane", i like him better here, maybe its the character and the hair hihi I love the insights of the kids about their lovestory.

Book: A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose

I Am Legend

Yup, I just finished watching the deebeedee. When I first saw the trailer, I was eagerly anticipating for it, expecting ala-28days/weeks later kind of action. But I heard from a F@W that it's more geared to Tom Hanks' "Castaway" with lots of monologue. Sounds boring but still a bit intrigued. Was able to borrow it from Dani's ninong yesterday, popped it in the player and an hour and a half later, I felt a great sense of parental paranoia and ask myself.

What does the future hold for my Dani?

Monsters in various forms.. argh!

Tsk. Its bad not only for my heart but also for my sanity..really. I remembered Mhay's post about The Powerful Prayer of Mothers and immediately said a short prayer for my daughter asking God to please look after her. I seldom pray nowadays but even before I rarely pray for myself. It's just that I trust God too much that I know He'll take care of everything. Either that or I'm taking Him far too much for granted.

Anyways, just what to let it out here:

I have nothing to fear.

All we need is just a little faith.

Just finished Claire Danes' "Evening" and yes admittedly there were some waterworks every now and then. Though it will not be included in my must-see again list, here's something I got out of it:

on parenting:
no matter what we do, whether we work or stay at home, we will still make mistakes. some mistakes they (our children) will instantly forget or still talk about even when we're already on our death bed.
good point when considering being a SAHM.

daughter to mother:
sometimes i hate you when you wear that dress because it means you're going to work.
makes me wonder what dani thinks whenever she see's me wearing my office uniform.

I am currently checking the thread to see what stuffs I missed or just to see the other viewers reaction to the said movie :D if you want heavy drama, great cinematography and love stories without the usual proper happy ending then go ahead, see this movie ;) Personally, I'm just glad for the characters as each had their own closure :)

Can you keep a secret?

In my desperation to read a book (other than Eragon which I've yet to finish), I borrowed this chick-lit and just started reading this morning. I got through chapter 4 and figured this is a fun easy read, just exactly what I need. This will have to do until I get my hands on "stardust" I bought on ebay.ph (yey! my very first successful bid). Although, the total price i paid is P5 short of a brand new one (I blame the shipping cost of P140 for an air pouch bag from LBC), I just convinced myself that I saved myself some time (instead of meeting up with the buyer in Waltermart Makati or going back to nearby bookstores to check if the book is now in stock). Plus the fact that i got the original cover instead of the last one I saw that has claire danes on it.

Yesterday, my (is there another informal word for co-workers? ok i'll just call them F@W --FriendsAtWork-- *lol*) F@Ws had our lunch while watching Fred&Larry, though we wanted to finish this hilarious movie, we had to cut it short since we're only allowed 1hr break. I suddenly realized how I missed watching flick with friends and laugh at kababawan :D
