getting political

whew, what a weekend!

we had an early off (3pm) last friday. i was able to get some groceries, met garry by 5pm (he was off by 4pm) and immediately went home for fear na baka nde kami makauwi agad kasi 1) strike ang juaymah bus line, 2) traffic? due to rallies everywhere.

bantay kami sa flash report, not quite sure if i really wanted another EDSA revolution. nde ko rin naman kasi alam sino ang dapat na pumalit kay GMA. Its like getting excited over nothing, kasi pagkatapos ng lahat nakaupo pa rin si GMA. Despite the marine standoff issue last night, all seems well ulit. We'll see..

Friday lunch, nagtreat ang boss ko sa The Old Sphagetti House. First time ko pa lang kumain dito kasi parang boring. Anyways he picked the place so ok lang matitikman ko na rin at libre pa! I ordered Pesto sauce on Angel Hair Pasta with Grilled Chicken, Mango Juice and Creme Brule for dessert. Bel and Irene (co-bday celebrants) ordered Seafood Marinara and Carbonara, kay boss naman Carbonara and All-Meat-Pizza. I got to taste them all, nothing special really. Pero mejo manalo ang dessert ko.. 3 variants kasi sya in one serving (regular, choco and citrus), sarap din. Alam ko masarap din ung ibang dessert nila, i'll try them next time :) I believe my boss shelled out around P1.2k for the 4 of us.. not bad no, mura lang din :)

Nag-garage sila mami ko nung saturday, she bought me a prenatal gift set on sale :) buti na lang may work si garry nun at dumaan muna sya bago umuwi. pagdating nya sa bahay, tinest namin agad. we were able to hear her heart beating, true enough para syang galloping horse hehe :) next time pagdalaw ko sa kanila i'll bring the kit along para pati family ko makarinig din :) it's different from a doppler used by doctors kasi you'll hear actual sounds made by your baby unlike doppler who interprets sounds via baby's movements, well at least that's what i know. i'll have to find some great children story books para mabasahan na namin sya. As of now, I read to her Robert Jordans 10th installment alternated by LOMA reviewer haha.

just the way i like it

yesterday, i celebrated my 28th birthday with my family. garry and i were planning to leave the house by 7am but my lazy bones got the better of me and so we were off the door by 830am instead. luckily, bilis lang din byahe and we went to landmart to meet mami and tekeng. we bought some groceries for our munting handaan :) it was past lunch by the time we got home and i hungrily feasted on the buttered shrimp below. afterwards, nagstart na ko magluto ng white sauce (as usual). my mom naman prepared the chicken filling for our pita sandwhich. si garry naman ang nagtimpla ng tropical punch :) my dad naman cooked crispy liempo and has already grilled tilapia earlier. nagprepare na rin kami ng vegatable salad pangterno.

other than tito base, his wife tita leni and chum, kami-kami lang talaga lumapang nang food hehe :) meron din naman akong strawberry-choco mousse cake c/o my mom and double dutch ice cream naman c/o garry. may fruits pa sa bahay kaso nakalimutan ko na rin kainin sa sobrang busog at syempre bebe's been kicking all day long sobrang tuwa sa food kasi :)

nga pala, my parents gave me a swarovski watch, sayang nalo-bat na ung digicam so wasn't able to take a pic of it pero attach ko na lang pagbalik. ganda din kaso sobrang exacto kasi ang laki na ng wrist ko haha!

to my family, salamat po sa lahat and also sa hubby ko na walang sawa sa pagintindi sa kaartehan ko *muah*

haay.. ang hubby ko talaga, praktikal pero thoughtful pa rin. vday lunch time, i was supposed to buy him kahit card lang sana kaso tinamad na kong pumunta sa national greenbelt tapos wala pang kwenta mga greeting cards sa lobby ng building. eto na, garry's waiting for me na sa landmark. syempre nikiss nya ko agad paglapit ko *muah* sabay abot ng plastic na may lamang..

at syempre nde ko sya nabasa agad. papunta sa kakainan namin, aya ko sya buy kami gift ko sa kanya (nakunsensya kasi walang abot hehe) eh ayaw naman nya. so, kumain muna kami sa north park with our usual favorites: sweet and sour fish fillet, yang chow, lemon chicken. mango shake for him and four seasons for me :) may leftovers pa para breakfast kinabukasan hehe. grabe, pagbalik namin ng parksquare at pumila na kami, super haba! at sa tagal naming nagkatambay dun, pinapanood namin yung mga lalakeng bumibili ng rose dun sa isang booth. merong nagtitipid isang piraso lang (P50), may nakabox na short-stemmed P100/P150, meron namang galante medyo, 3pcs with fru-frus (P250), depende presyo sa setup/arrangment. Mura na rin kesa sa mall, basta meron. Tapos may nakita din akong may mga dalang bouquet na alam mo specially arranged mga holland tulips baga. Pero ang kinaiingitan ko sobra yung mga may dalang ... CAKE! hehe

sa awa ng dyos, nakauwi na kami sa bahay. pagkapahinga ng kaunti at busy si mister sa panu-nuod ng basketball, pumasok na ko ng bedroom at nagbasa... nagbasa... kinilig.. at napaluha... touch ako sa words ni hubby. super simple pero alam ko galing sa heart, hindi nambobola *hikbi*

why don't you want to be with your husband anymore?

Other than the reason that you just can't get over your ex..

for sure, there will always and always be a betterman other than your husband. more loving, more attentive, more understanding, greater in many ways. holding on to the what if's and the past will not improve your marriage. its so much easier to wonder in dreamland than solve the problem at hand. all relationships go through different phases and there is no guarantee that it will be better if you start anew with your ideal person.

whenever i find myself comparing my husband to somebody else, i stop and remind myself, he's a person with his own individuality. i focus on his strengths, how he changed my life and made me grow into a better person. before i realize it, i've fallen for him all over again! :)
