I celebrated my birthday in advance by finally getting myself a haircut. Last lazy afternoon of the 13th day of the current month, hubby dropped me off at Cosmopolitan Salon in GMA. I had to wait for about 30mins until it was my turn to be pimped. Looking at the bading assigned to me, I think I'm in good hands. I told him I want my hair cut short and colored. He did not egged me to have my hair relaxed or rebonded (as most would offer upon seeing my curly hair) but he did suggest highlights for more drama. Highlights it is.
Snip, snip.
I paid P500 for the haircut and color plus P200 for the highlights. I gave him P200 and the shampoo girl P100 for tip. No I'm not that generous, its just that I have allocated P1K for this appointment and decided to give them the change ;)
Hubby picked me up, we went straight home. Dani saw me get out of the car and..
Mega cry.
We went inside the house, she looked at me.

It took a good 30mins before she calmed down. As if I got myself Mesothelioma and changed into another person, probably that's why she cried. I asked her why she's crying. She told me, "Mommy, I don't like your hair."
Sad.
The next morning, upon opening her eyes and seeing my new hair again, she told me: "Mommy, I like your hair na." Later that day she whispered to me, "Mommy you bring me to the salon and maybe they can cut and color my hair also." We were playing some grooming flash games in Y8.com and she'd color the girls hair brown with yellow highlights confirming to me the process I've gone through at the salon :D

I forgot the point of my dream. However, I can't forget the part where I'm walking along side (let's call him Paul) while uber conscious of his right hand slightly touching my fingers (left hand) trying to decide if I'll pull back or give in. He's waiting.. waiting.. waiting for me to reach out. Why doesn't he just grab my hand if he wants to and stop teasing me, tsk.
02.17.2010: Took a leave from work and went to Dani's school with her. It'll be my first time to ride their school service but I've yet to wait till I "fully" experience it on our way back home. Had a short chat with Teacher while we wait for her other classmates. Dani asked me to stay until all her teachers are inside the room already but teacher Mai is running late, I have to leave na so they can start. Dani cried. That was a first. Sigh.
Unlike my previous visits, I armed myself with a good book and the ipod for the long wait :D Today is Dani's first encounter with a Dentist and I was supposed to be there with her in case she needs hmm.. comforting. Apparently I was so engrossed with my reading, I failed to notice the kids lining up for the dental checkup. Two and a half hour passed me by and then I heard my Dani crying. In his hurry, her classmate bumped her on his way out.
On our way home, I worried about what Dani might pick up from the older kids. One was giving a dirty finger to the other shouting F*You in between laughs. Dani was all giggles, buti na lang she doesn't know what it means. Tsk.
..right in the middle of an ordinary life LOVE gives us a fairytale.

Roses were bought by hubby when he went about his weekly market task. I would prefer flowers over nordictrack audiostrider 990 pro. I placed them in two separate vases singling the tallest one out. Sad to say, the two wilted Sunday morning. Apparently I did not put enough water eek

TEC just held a fire drill an hour ago. I asked some of our consultants if they took the stairs 25 floors down and they just gave me a small tired laugh. A couple of years back when hgh supplements aren't heard of, I had the same experience while in Ayala Corp only coming from 33rd level instead. I feel for them :D
All the while, I was inside Tapa King enjoying a scoop of FIC Avocado :D

T'was quite stressful at work today. Nobody to blame but me. I try not to blog about work but please allow me to destress. Came home and the little girl was knocked out already.
I ought to be challenged I know and seek ways to improve myself since it was my own carelessness that put me there. Tough situation just creeps up on me, catching me off guard because I prefer to daydream than do some actual work.
Tsk, tsk. When will I ever learn. Maybe side effects of clinislim, yes?
For some time now, we've managed to send personally wrapped gifts. Japanese papers are good for first layer wrap. Then, I usually use Dani's flip chart paper because it's big enough to cover most gifts. We have a few foam stickers, googly eyes, double sided tape. The lion was a cutout from her Kumon pasting activity book (P299) previously bought from NBS Greenbelt.
Here's a closer look on the finish product. She's so bait she wrote the celebran'ts name and her name :D
Maybe if I get tired of crafts I may cook some home remedy for blackheads hehe

Hubby already found out what happened to the Zen. I'm using his Nano since I lost it in our Coron trip. I was relieved to see it inside my bag this morning. I thought I left it at home. I'm waiting till it's declared officially mine before I buy a new case for it ;) Also, I think I'll be needing new earphones na rin. Geez, hopefully I wont be needing best acne treatment as gift :D
Baka daw vertigo ang dahilan ng pagkakahilo ng asawa ko nitong mga nakaraang araw. Pagkatapos ng ECG, niresetahan ng gamot si mister na nagkakahalagang P400 isa na dapat nyang inumin sa pitong araw. Hindi muna sya bumili ng gamot. Umuwi si mister, natulog nang maaga. Pagkagising, guminhawa ang pakiramdam.
Itong asawa ko talaga nakakatawa. Namahalan lang sa gamot, gumaling na bigla :p
One summer afternoon, Tita Mina was looking all over for me. Frustrated, she went upstairs and scanned the room. She heard a small humming voice seemingly coming from beneath the skirts of the sewing machine cover. Lo and behold, she found me, swinging contently on the peddle, cutting my hair with scissors and singing the alphabet.

Parts of my summer were spent with my Nanay in Tiaong Quezon. I would help her cut retaso with a paper hexagon for pattern. For a day or two, she would sew them together and form a bedsheet or table cloth which she used around the house. Kaya naman when I wake up, there are hexagon shapes all over me :D

I grew up with pajamas sewn by my Apong Babae. I miss her and her tea rose scent.

By now, you can tell I want a sewing machine :D My mom has one and she's waiting for me to pick it up. I'm waiting until we I find a suitable working space for me at home.
Finally able to expand my cafe and garner enough money for redecorating my cafe. Currently at level 52, I'm salivating over the grand tandori chicken and chocolate cake. In real life, I might gobble up more than I could forcing me to take fat burner afterwards ;) I gave up on RollerCoaster Kingdom and FarmTown. I've got a couple of levels more to go until I get my hands on the lemon buttered lobster so I wont be quitting CafeWorld soon.

Grr.. I came home and saw dani like so. Ate Sol said dani was walking fast in front of her and tripped. No other injury, 100% on the face.. tsk.
She didn't cry much. I know it hurts and I try not to let her know I'm hurting also. This is her favorite book so far.
Retouch on betadine to help her scratches heal faster. Its the only thing I can do apart from kissing and hugging her a lot to make her feel better.
All is well with the little girl now, no pilay or anything. She has langib below her nose and I hope she'll be able to resist taking it off when it becomes itchy.
