My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The book surely has its eerie effect as I read the first chapter late at night. I paused between chapters and digested the chapters as individual mysteries. It started being repetitive to me in Chapter 3 when the timeline or investigation notes are updated (for me too often) as I go along. The strange pictures captured my curiosity, some helped me see the character's thought process and helped with the story telling. I had a hard time with the timeline bar charts though, it's just me as I'm lazy to validate it against the narratives. Overall, a strange good read left me wanted to do another read just to pick up the clues again and tie them all together neatly (like 20%) but it's a luxury I currently cannot afford now. I do look forward to the next one: Strange Houses.
