Not your ordinary shopping cart

I’ve first encountered shopping carts when we were building the online proposal site of a local insurance company. At the time, handling cookies and session is quite tricky not to mention addressing security concerns using classic asp. Many stressful and sleepless nights has passed and still implementing such reliable and secured service was for naught.

I have read somewhere, why reinvent the wheel when you can buy one and maximize it for your own profit. Of course some may argue that they can reinvent the wheel just for kicks. My take is that for small time entrepreneurs who might want to take their online business a step further then maybe purchasing an online shopping cart, is not such a bad idea. Spending about P8.5K++ on shopping cart software is an investment entrepreneurs should seriously look into. If you do not have the time and ability to create your own shopping cart then it is wiser to buy one than hiring a developer to build one for you.
