There was a time when we have skin as flawless as a baby's. When various acne creams weren't heard of and water suffices as cleanser.

Ahh, how I miss those days. I can always blame stress but I think lack of sleep is the main culprit for my skin's current pitiful state. At my age, I'm supposed to pass the stage of skin breakdown already. However, I think it's packaged together with my PMS and doesn't have a plan of going away anytime soon. *sigh*

Should I try those famous BB creams? Ottoke, ottoke?!

Good thing the little girl has more patience now so I can play parlor with her longer than before :) I was contemplating on bringing her to a children salon with their fancy tv stands but the practical side of me dismissed the idea. I think it took me less than an hour to chop 2 inches from her locks. It was hard for me not to trim her bangs anymore. I don't want to risk being banned from her hair for life ;)

I kept several strands for her year 3 book. Yes, I'm about halfway there. Still have a couple of months to go but hopefully before she turns 5, we'll have it printed by then :D

I haven't been a good tita. No post yet about D's first birthday. Saya and I know it deserves a post here on my blog. Too many photos kasi, I've had a problem choosing which one to use/upload.

Anyways, I might not receive my gift from Santa so expect my kwento soon :)

My nephew just had his first haircut, and yes, he's officially a toddler now. I'll try to grab a photo so you all can see how adorable he is :D

Got myself a Black Mccall Winter Flat (P1,175) and a Black Gabby (P555) for the little girl. I know I could've gotten them cheaper had I order them in Amazon, still I can consider the price difference as shipping cost :D



I got two more pairs for Ate Gerah and Tita M but these are supposedly surprise gifts so no photos hehe

Several warehouse sale are scheduled already, so might start looking there for my Christmas list :) Hmm.. come to think of it, one item in my wishlist can't be found in such events.. curious? a week long bahamas cruise ain't so bad, right?

Hubby was asked to be I's Godfather and we were humbled by the parents' request :) We take the responsibility of being one by heart. For years, they have been there for us and have been looking after the little girl until we get home after work.

It was an intimate celebration as we lunch at Balinsasayaw, Cavite.


Twas my first time to eat Buco Pancit, yum!


Bones are the only thing that's left of this dish.


After devouring kilotons of buco pansit, we took a stroll to their souvenir store and found charming charms haha

I wonder if these lanterns found on the sidestreet are somewhat distracting for drivers. I bet auto insurance companies can be creative enough and make an ad about it. Sometimes they use fear to get their message across people who have yet to consider getting themselves insured.

In any case, seeing these lanterns gives me instant uplift and excitement for the coming Yuletide season. I particularly like the lights along Ayala Ave this year, hundred times better than last time. More so when I found out that they use LED bulbs :D Haven't gotten around much but I bet malls are full-geared for holiday shoppers already.

I've almost forgotten about this dessert I've tasted way back in 2000. It was served to us after our hearty meal in one of those Japanese restos we tried out in HK. I didn't care much about sashimi back then, but I couldn't take my mind off this treat. It was like an ice cream-filled marshmallow. I was too shy to ask what it was called then.

Earlier this year, there has been a mochi craze but fillers are mostly custard based. Last week, I read about Michiko and makes me eager to visit Tagaytay now! Meantime, I can settle with my latest find in my suking KStore -- Lotte Mochi!

Brought one for Keds and he thinks its delish. I wish I'd find one that just bite-sized. On to my quest for the perfect mochi!

It has been decided by me (hehe) that we eat at Mile-Hi Diner, George me wants to try their highly raved burgers.

Off we went to stuff ourselves. We were seated behind Kalil. I didn't eavesdrop as to whatever he is talking about his friends. I let him chill as we weren't there to stalk him in the first place.

Anyways, we ordered the Aretha Set which came with these:

Mozzarella Stuffed Burger + Milkshake (option of Strawberry, Chocolate and another one, I forgot, mianhe.)

We should've ordered the strawberry milkshake, but O prefers choco as she generally is not fond of milk. Calories galore, ne?

I think their POS systems is quite efficient as we got our bill in less than a minute after requesting for it.

I heard they have hot calamansi drink, perfect for someone under the weather. I wont wait for that though, will be back soon :)

I forgot how many weeks old the four fishes are already. Dani chose them based on their shimmering orangey scales :D They have a buy 5+1 for this variety but I decided 4 for P100 is enough already.

The little girl might be busy choosing her pet fishes, I on the other hand have my mind on one of the scales I saw from the net the other day. The one we currently have needs to be adjusted though I think it really needs to be replaced. I do monitor my weight, vanity aside, for our health also, agree?

Just because she's the princess who wears the Pink gown, she chose Aurora's costume over Tink's even when I think the latter fits and looks better on her. I gave in, scared I'll regret it when she won't wear the costume later on should I persist on what I wanted.

Surprise, surprise. Come D day, the little girl prefers to wear the gown she wore during my grandparents' wedding anniversary instead.



With her purple wings in tow and a toy wand, she came as a .. hmm.. Fairy Princess for her school's trick or treat activity. It lacked the ohmp, should've bought her glitter tattoo or fancy hairdress. All in all, she's happy and comfortable with her costume.

Boracay: Lemon Cafe

There are a couple of things I regret from our last Boracay Trip. One of which is not being able to taste Real Coffee's calamansi cupcake. However, we were able to hangout at Lemon Cafe and try out some of their hot drinks and pastries. Sadly, neither did I order Lemon Cheesecake nor Lemon Bar. Instead, I was lured by these chocolate rum balls.



Apart from trekking the Diniwid Foot Path, we didn't do anything adventurous. Next time, I hope to experience the feel of ATV Tires on the white sand as I rev it up along the broad white beach or maybe up to the top of Mt. Luho and marvel at the 360-view of the island.

Mother Nature. I feel she's mocking me. In most days I bring an umbrella. It's when I forget to bring one will she decide to rain down on me. I got a little bit sick forcing me to go offline and rest some more. Hence the lack of recent post.

I am now adjusting to my new workplace. Food, not necessarily eating out, is essential to me and is top priority. So we scouted for possible cheap thrills here and there.

On a lighter note, several colleague has commented that I "looked" like I lost some weight. Some wanted to know if I actually found a diet pill that actually works. Buzz me and I might share the secret with you ;) Oh, I assume you want proof, ne? Maybe in my next post ;)
