Twelve years - First Part

Year 1999, I gave my heart to this man. Sealed and witnessed by Him and our loved ones seven years ago.

The least I could do is plan a simple celebration :D A week ago, I made reservations at Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast.

After Sunday mass, we head on straight to Bag of Beans for lunch. While waiting for my takeout dessert, I received a text message from Candy of Joaquin's B&B. Oh noes, she's telling me they overlooked the details of my reservation and cannot give me the Purple room. All the rooms with king sized bed are occupied. They however managed to secure me another one with two beds joined together to make one bed. It almost ruined everything for me really. Last message I sent her was, "Let's discuss later. We are on our way. Frankly, I don't like the way things are going." To which she replied, "We apologized for that."

By 2PM, we arrived at the inn. We left our stuffs in the car as I'm not sure how things will turn out. I'm already contemplating on spending the night at Summit Ridge instead. The front desk staff, Candy, told me that our originally reserved room is being prepared. She was able to convince the other customer to take the room she previously offered to me. Honestly?! Anyways, I filled up their form and gave her our Ensogo voucher. Half an hour later, we were ushered to our room and temporarily put the riff behind me.

The sun has set, we left the room and went to the arcade.

We had dinner at Ted's. We loved the batchoy and my bangus was huge.

Dani made a new friend while hubby and I had coffee.

9:30PM, the parking lot was eerily empty with the fog rolling in.

I bought books for bedtime storytelling. Before long, we were all fast asleep.

From deep slumber

I have awaken.

Romance, True Love, seems to escape me for some time now. I've witnessed two weddings and I feel nothing. Yes well wishes were given as standard greetings but I'm not really happy for them in the sense that I am kilig or giddy. Not that it matters to them, I'm sure they've no care in the world what I think or feel. Full of optimism, they are as they say, in Cloud 9.

I've search through the core of me and neither was Envy the cause of my state. Long have I realized that there's no point comparing anything with others, so skip that. Then it came to me, as clear as spring water, I've been a neglectful partner. I tend to hang on to disappointment and misunderstandings and ended here, lost. I guess, at my end, our marriage from peaks and valleys, has reached it's plateau. That I almost forgot what we once had or where we are headed. Thankfully, I am married to a wonderful man.

And yes a simple pasalubong can do that to me. Bring me back with an optimistic flair, intoxicated with romance and ready to profess yet again my undying love for my husband. Beat that cheesiness, John Lloyd.

Of course it's not just the carrot cake, I'm not that shallow (or materialistic), or maybe I am but I don't want to argue with myself right now so let me just get to my point.

I love you, hubby.

Five years and counting..

** just in case I forget to write something for our anniversary ;)

Where it officially began

Through the years, we've had a couple of kodak moments here and there in Tagaytay. I wasn't that much excited when my initial plans did not push thru (obviously due to budget constraints). Turns out, we've got a few more to add in our memory lane.

We were set to do an early horse backriding beside Josephine's and proceed to Hawaiian BBQ for lunch. Lazy bones got into me plus it might be scorching hot by mid-day, we decided to swim first instead. As expected, Dani was tired after all that bouncing in the water, we were out of the house by a few minutes past 3pm.

Halfway to tagaytay, rain started. We passed time eating beef noodles in Chowking. Buti na lang, we had sunshine after our snack. So tuloy ang ligaya! :D

By 6:30pm Dani's already feeling at home in The Boutique's lobby area :D Two hours later, we're back in our humble abode ;) Anoher day well spent.

Happy anniversary, hubby! :)

Valentines in October

Hubby and I didn't break up for the five years, not even once when we were together as girlfriend-boyfriend. Sure there are times when I thought that I just couldn't take anymore of his crap call it quits. However, once we’ve taken our space, sort out things and in the end we still end up together.

Three years of marriage, that must not mean much to you but for both us it’s something. I always consider October as our month of hearts, a time when we celebrate the moment we found each other and committed to be together forever. Some say, forever is a long time. We really couldn’t tell if we’ll last that long. Still, I’d like to believe that we can.
