Beef with Corn and Shitake Mushroom
The little girl is napping, still tired I bet and wouldn't have cared even if she were sleeping on cabin beds. I expect her to be up in a short while as she aims to make the most of what is left from my leave today and play.

Review: The Little Prince
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Currently on chapter 22 and reading with my almost 5-year-old daughter before bedtime. No matter how short or how long, we only read one chapter a night :) I'd get questions from her I didn't think of asking myself. Some of which are challenging to answer in the simplest way a child can understand.

HBD - San Dionisio Chapel
HBD - Bacarra Spa
O said the spa has just moved in to a new location. I wasn't expecting pergo flooring or fancy stuffs but already I felt relaxed as I made myself comfortable in the lounge while O dealt with the attendant. We availed of their Combination massage for P350. My masseuse was mostly hit than miss, she applied the right pressure in most areas. For the price, I'd say, I might come back again :)
HBD - Tapsilog at Matty's
O decided to cap her brunch with an ice cream, I settled for yummy yema instead :) We were so full, we decided to walk it off and do some window shopping in a nearby Japan Surplus shop. I scored some stuffs for the little girl, downfall is I have to carry them the whole day, praying I wont break any of them :)
HBD - First stop
The lunch benefactor
I don't know what is with St. Lukes BGC but my brothers love eating there. Call me paranoid, but it's still a hospital temporarily housing sick people with their viruses and what not. The risk we take for a cup of double dutch blizzard :)
Mostly we updated ourselves about our kids, we didn't reach the topic about hair loss products :p I guess vanity takes a back seat with all the diapers and crying babies at hand.
It was a lovely lunch mostly because it was free!! Still, kainis ka sandali lng kyo sa sat hmpf ;p
Lunch Treat at Mary Grace
I was on leave since Tuesday, oppa called me asking where I was. He said he's supposed to treat me out since it's my birthday and all. Told him it can be arranged on another day :D And so came Thursday and immediately I secured our lunch date together with oppa Ers.
We orders Beef Philly Sandwich, Meaty Spaghetti in Tomato and Basil. Bro forgot to order the Summer Squash Soup which came last. Bards had homemade peppermint iced tea and a cup of hot chocolate for me.
While waiting for our order, we wondered about the life of the resident doctors and the efficiency of their new ecg machines. With the amount one pays at such a prestige hospital I guess one cannot help but expect to be healed miraculously.
Kumawo oppa bards! Dasi hanbon.

Tooth#3 & 4

Good thing Doctora's hands were light and dani didn't feel like some industrial abrasives were hurting her gums while the dentist brushes her teeth. The dentist was equally pleased with her as she's an easy patient to deal with. She gave the little girl a pink toothbrush which she now regularly use.
We just bought groceries and went home early to prepare for her exams. She didn't mind when we said it's time to go home, she's perfectly contented to have a new toothbrush :D

Trying to prevent another boring, too much tv weekend, Dani and I decided to go to the playground for an early morning walk. Normally, I'd have her wear tights for protection. However, the little girl wanted to feel the cool breeze so she insisted on wearing only a pair of shorts.
Off we went with our ipod on full blast to the tune of Taylor Swift's You Belong To Me. Packed with water, strawberrry milk, cheese-mayo sandwich, cheese bread and coffee, we walked hand in hand. We weren't able to get to the swing immediately as some inconsiderate adults were sitting on it instead. We almost climbed a tree, the little girl tried the slide and we ate our breakfast.
At last the adults decided it was time to go and we had the whole playground to ourselves. Before I could take my seat beside Dani, she requested I give her a push. Like I always do, I told her i'll push her harder if she promised to hold on tight. Sometimes kids forget (and sometimes adults too) when they're having too much fun, danger is lurking nearby.
Anyway, it happened so fast, I saw her sprawled on her belly, sand all over her mouth, crying loudly. I took her to a bench and checked her face, arms and legs and saw the inquiry. Her right knee was slightly scraped and bleeding. So I half emptied the water bottle to clean the wound, used her socks to cover and put pressure on it. All the while she's wailing and crying like a piglet being slaughtered :p
Took a while before both of us calmed down. We were more worried about what the husband will say to us when he gets home later from work.
D: Lagot ka kay Dadi, mommy. You pushed me too hard.
K: Lagot ka kay Dadi, you told me to push you harder.
I think she may have to wear stockings for the Talent Show this Saturday. I might have to find her a different shoe then, maybe ballet flats.

Tekeng has been raving about these greek version shawarma-like sandwiches and I can never enjoy those shawarma stands like I used to. I like the lemon-mustard sauce and the tenderness of the flavorful meat. Sigh.

Finally, the little girl and the husband decided to spend quality time by making use of those buckets and had our walls painted :D Weekend DIY warriors that there were, they finished all sides, with total effort of 1%-dani 99%-dadi :D I did a cooking project of my own, wasn't able to help but cheer for them :D
We're eagerly anticipating funds by early Q2 and we're hoping to make full use of the extra space.

I'm not sure what the future holds for me but maybe I can improve and it'll be another alternative than providing business card printing services online, ne?

D: Where did you meet daddy and when did you fall in love with him?
K: Like, how did I fall in love with him?
D: Yes.
K: Diba I told you I met daddy at work..
D: In your old office? Where I got my puzzle? (The one she received when we visited her Ninang in our previous company)
K: Yes. I met him at work, we became friends and I fell in love with him.
D: Me, I haven't met my husband yet.
K: Yes, because..
D: I'm too young pa eh. Diba I'm too young to fall in love pa. I don't know who I will marry.
K: Yes, you'll just have to wait and just have fun growing up.
And like all small talks, we proceeded to another topic which I now forgot. Kinuwento ko kay hubby, and he said to me: Dapat na ba kong kabahan? Hindi naman ako babaero ah. As if to reassure himself that he didn't do wrong on any girl/s from him past haha. Oh well, ganun talaga ang role ng tatay :D I'm predicting he has a lot more to worry than knowing how to get rid of dark circles hehe

Bubble Boy and Princess Diaries

Anyways, I'm forced to so I can attend to my little girl. Usually I get up around 2-3AM and watch whatever. However, every night Dani gets up about 2-3 times to pee and she'll drag me back to bed while mumbling: "You always do that." Pertaining to me staying up late outside the bedroom instead of sleeping with her. Other times I will try to slip out when she's back asleep only to be found out again later, so I just give in and sleep. It's a new work week, I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish this movie but I'm curious how it'll turn up.

Mother knows best
I've been wanting to see this with the little girl months since I saw its trailer. Last week I checked the movie schedule but Tangled's still not available in our local movie house. Anyways, I couldn't wait any longer so I grabbed a copy from a friend and we watched it at home friday night. We had a good laugh and we were smiling in our dreams that night.
Ack, making a post of things I liked in this movie is impossible so I'll just make it short and sweet: I loved it! We have watched it twice already. I'll ask the little girl if she still wants to see it in the big screen.
Kilig moment

Saw this from the net:
3 cups cooked rice
3 cups milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, separated
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1. Combine rice, milk, sugar, butter and salt in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy, about 25 minutes.
2. Beat egg yolks; blend a little rice mixture into yolks. Stir all into rice mixture and cook an additional minute. Remove from heat and add pineapple and cinnamon. Cool.
3. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into cooled rice mixture.
4. Turn into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Top with coconut.
5. Bake at 325°F (160°F) for 25 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.

I think, I should could the malagkit rice first with gata, biko style. Then make the custard sauce, 4yolks for 1250ml condensada with a tinge of calamansi juice, mix the cooked rice and the custard sauce evenly. Caramelize the pineapples, glaze some syrup on the pan. Spread the rice mixture and steam on boiling water for 30mins medium heat. We'll see tomorrow.

The Green Fairy
Green Fairy

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;−
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,−
He made them every one:
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
She will be representing her school for the Pre-School Level in an Inter-School Talent Show. We are all trying to be cool about it, no pressure, just trying to have fun with this new experience :D

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Copied the movie from my brother and was kind of intrigue with the buzz from the forum. Halfway through the film, hopefully I can finish it this weekend :) Got a couple more movies lined up. I think this is the first Swedish Film I've watched.
Happy Chinese New Year!

Finished! It's supposed to be part 1 of a trilogy but I don't think I'll be eagerly anticipating the next one. I wonder if it has something to do with the not-so-typically handsome lead guy haha. Someone in the forum was rude enough to suggest he use abrasives on his face. I've read great reviews on the books but I'm not getting myself a copy. Maybe mystery-thriller is not my thing nowadays.
