Reading List

| Immortals 2011 |
I also tried watching a typical Hollywood romcom, however my copy suddenly ended in the middle of the story, so that's that. I will attempt to add more context on this blog to coincide with search key words from my flickr to up some hits :D Someone who knows me keeps on forgetting my blog url, nuguseyo?
I had a dream earlier, it was of a happy adventurous kind but I forgot the details, not that you care but I do :p

I've been watching the clock, the little girl is still sick. Earlier, she was near tears and worried about missing her Christmas party next week if she won't get better soon.

Cars 2
Initially, I wasnt too thrilled when hubby took home a copy of Cars 2 for this weekend movie treat. I've already forgotten the characters in the first film. However, the animation got the better of me and before I know it I was hooked in the story. I like their version of Tokyo and how high-tech the restrooms are: complete with automobile lift and wash. The little girl liked the female protagonist but not enough to deserve a second screening.

NTS: get OST

Interesting fact: Elton John and Lady Gaga did the duet in the movie. However, their version is not available in the OST :( In any case, it's a great add to one's collection :D
Ewan McGregor and Kate Winslet were once attached to star as Gnomeo and Juliet when the movie was initially announced. I think James McAvoy and Emily Blunt did justice to the adorable characters.
Trivia: The sign on the bus indicates that the movie takes place in Stratford-Upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, who wrote Romeo & Juliet, which is what Gnomeo & Juliet is based upon.

Mother knows best
Ok, Mother Gothel is scary. I bet she takes adapexin-p if there's one in her lifetime.
I've been wanting to see this with the little girl months since I saw its trailer. Last week I checked the movie schedule but Tangled's still not available in our local movie house. Anyways, I couldn't wait any longer so I grabbed a copy from a friend and we watched it at home friday night. We had a good laugh and we were smiling in our dreams that night.
Ack, making a post of things I liked in this movie is impossible so I'll just make it short and sweet: I loved it! We have watched it twice already. I'll ask the little girl if she still wants to see it in the big screen.

Kilig moment

I want!

For real ;)

Compromise
We share.
Most of the time, this is what my screen looks like when I'm online. This weekend however, I might be offline as we're off to Nova. Still no internet connection there.
I was able to finish the "cinema copy" of Sex and the City movie. Men, did I cry a river. I'm such a weeper. I never really got beyond season two of the tv series but I do feel for these ladies. Like my male staff, who was "dragged" by his better half, "complained" the other day, it is indeed a chick flick.
I also managed to read James Patterson's, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. I felt bitin with Matt's and Katie's love story, I wish there were more of them as there was for Matt and Suzanne's. More and more I am convinced that men like Matt only exists in novels as such ;p
I was planning to watch something tonight but got sidetracked in friendster. Its practically 2am, I better get some zzz's for tomorrow's another day with my little girl. I need to recharge.

Movie: Gone Baby Gone
All I can say is that sometimes, its not always right to be right. In the end, sabi nga nila, do whatever will make you sleep at night. I do not have much insight about the movie as I'm just checking the board. I feel bad for everyone except for the mom because she got her baby back. Everyone has their reasons for their actions. Sometimes, there is no wrong or right, just different values and perspectives, ika ni Stephen Covey. I'm sure I won't agree should someone take my dani away from me. In my opinion, that is plain kidnapping, which is dead wrong.~~
Hmm.. I think I saw some teak patio furniture at freeman's house.

Movie: Iron Man
In between barney and little einsteins, I was able to watch Robert Downey’s Iron Man. I’m not quite sure what is the issue between perez and palthrow but she’s beautiful specially in her gown. I do have to agree, Robert did play his character rather well. Hubby doesn’t want to watch it as we don’t have the clear copy yet. You know me, I’m after the story first and then will do a second round if the film deserves it. As for Iron Man, yes, I might watch it again once we get a clearer deebeedee.~~
I wonder if Tony Spark has a life insurance :)

Love Actually.. is all around
Drafted March 20: Bought the DVD a couple of days ago for only P150. I was actually torn between this or Peter Pan. Thinking I need a doze of romance, I bought this one instead. Fortunately, I got to watch it again today for the nth time.
~~
I used to not get british humor. I still do sometimes but I try not to try too hard to get it as I might get a nose bleed in the process hihi anyways, getting sidetrack here.. my point is, what I really love about this movie is the various situations one can get caught up with in love. love, the romantic kind, does not choose what age, status, gender or language, when it hits you, it hits you. However, you are given a choice if you'll accept it, share it or hold back. it's your call. There are just too many stories here, but my fave would have to be the ones with no happy ending:
Juliet and Mark
She's married.. to his bestfriend.
Sarah and Karl
She's married.. to her family.
I didn't know that in christmas, you tell the truth :D The forum has a great 101 lessons I've learn from the movie thread, quite a read but very enlightening hihi i hope you enjoyed the movie as much as I have.

Juno
As much as I want to pack this post with wit I so enjoyed in the movie, i will just settle with sharing with you my favorite lines:Juno: I'm pregnant.
Leah: What? Honest to blog?
* * *
Juno: I need to know that it's possible that two people can stay happy together forever.
Dad: Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are: good mood-bad mood, ugly-pretty, handsome-what have you. The right person is still gonna think the sunshine's right up your a**. That's the kind of person worth staying with.
I couldn't agree more with her dad :)
*sigh* i like the extro duet and I'd surely love to be told i'm somebody's cheese in one's macaroni ;) juno's peace gesture was so simple yet so thoughtful and sweet, haay.. i like this film :) thanks mich for the heads up!
Currently listening to the movie's OST, i must say, there's a lot of acoustics here and lyrics leaving one breathless :)

You're a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you're back is the latest trend
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
We both have shiny happy fits of rage
I want more fans, you want more stage
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
You are always trying to keep it real
I'm in love with how you feel
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can't, you forgive me?
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you
Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Movie Date: Vantage Point
Sa wakas we were able to use hubby's free movie tickets last night. Expiration date na kasi nya kahapon, so I made sure I exchange the passes with tickets for the movie Vantage Point during yesterday's lunch time. The flick started at 6:30pm, with a beefy mushroom jamaican patty and iced tea in hand, we settled ourselves and watched. I became somewhat restless nung medyo nagre-rewind na ulit yung movie to show another point of view pero overall the movie was ok naman. I was on the edge of my seat at times and find myself clutching hubby's arm tightly than the norm hehe I couldn't really say if it was more worthwhile watching than 10,000 B.C. which was one of the movies I was opting to watch sana. Pero ok na din, kahit matanda na si Dennis Quaid, pogi pa rin naman sya :D but its something I wouldn't really buy a ticket for and wait for the debedee release instead :D Thanks hubby for the movie date :) more, more!* this is a test post from my email. we'll see if this works then I might be able to blog more while at work ;)

Time to buy an external hard drive?

Love at first sight
If you believe in love at first sight, you never stop looking.

haven't had the chance to see the ending of this movie (pirated kasi shh..) but it's very thought-provoking.
