Two misfits. One extraordinary love.

I'm so hangup on their first love story. Hubby caught me taking down notes on some of the quotes I loved from the book. The sort someone would read and wouldn't get unless they read the book :D It's goes to show how much I adored it.

Presently listening to the playlist. Helps me with my withdrawal symptoms.

November High

We checked out my cousin's wedding reception venue on February.  It was a quick happy trip.  Good excuse to bond with my extended family.  I wish we had a photo together but I had to settle with this :)

I love my mamay.  It would've been perfect if my nanay was with us though.  It's hard not to say that without sounding like she's no longer of this world (because she's very much alive but not quite living). I still get teary eyed whenever I see her and she doesn't remember me or her family .. even the man she spent her life with for 60+ years.  Still, I am inspired whenever I see them together.

In a dark place

October is my least favorite month of the year.  I pray for that speck of light in this endless ocean of darkness.  I look forward to soak in the warmth and bask in the sun.  I see a trip to the beach in order soon :)  For now, I must survive.  We must hold on to each other and survive this challenge.

Of course I'm talking about work and family.  I meant to do an anniversary post.  My husband and I were able to co-exist for eight years and the title of this blog demands I elaborate more.  Be patient, my dear.  We'll get there, maybe in another eight years he he

Anyways, I managed to watch this great remake last weekend. I tried reading the book once as it's in the must-read before you die list :D Wasn't able to get through after a couple of chapters.

I didn't know that'll happen to Gatsby. Broke my heart. I've yet to listen to the soundtrack but it's here already. Leo's just great, isn't he? Walang kupas.

Claim the light, claim the dark. Claim it all.

Got to get me a copy of this book.. but first, I have to finish aCoK. Gimme a month haha
Obviously, I liked the movie so much it woke me in my cyber coma ;)

Pop the corn

Survived the commute last night with these. Kettle Korn pabaon by my daughter, bought and brought home from the school cafe. While preparing for bed the other night, she suddenly remembered her pasalubong for me. Baliktad na ba ang mundo, ang anak ang nagpapabaon sa nanay? * * * Took the day off from work. Daily commute with the rain and hellish traffic is definitely taking it's toll on me. I refuse to let it drain me. Stress, stress go away. Never come again any other day.

Seven: Best Birthday Ever

So she keeps telling everyone :D We opted for a family day, an outing of some sorts to celebrate her birthday.


We rented a bus - bet way to transport 19 adults and 8 kids in one go!


Nobody wanted to take pictures, everyone is busy eating or swimming.  Most important thing is everybody had fun.

K: Pretty, I don't have a gift for you today, is that ok?
D: It's ok mommy.  It can be delayed.

Saint's Alp Tea House

Though it's sweltering hot outside, I prefer to warm up my tummy with a hot drink.  Since I'm not in the mood to pig out, I originallydecided to eat my takeout tuna pie and pair the tea with an apple carrot muffin for dessert.  I still have my muffin with me, the tea is too filling maybe because of the sesame seed and the added wheatgrass.  I should've order a cold Matcha milk tea and matcha toast instead.

I officially declare today as the start of Summer! :D  I wish I could put out the details of our HK trip out here soon enough before tackling work, maybe this coming long weekend *fingers-crossed*  We had loads of fun with bits of drama in between.  Still, I think I deserve a pat in the back, this trip being our first family trip outside, ne?  Though I'm itching to book a local trip (read boracay), I need to focus on home improvements specifically--the little lady's room.

25 Ten Years Ago

Age is just a number.  So True.

Optimistic me says, I have learned and become a better person with time.  Yet I know I have aged, matured, deteriorated.  Please, dear God, don't take me away yet.  There are so much more out there for me.

I am married (to the same awesome man) for 8 years and counting.

I am a mom to an almost seven-year-old lovely, amazing, bright daughter.

Though mortgaged, I have a house I can call my own, a decent dependable car.

I have been to Hong Kong for three times.

I have climbed Mt. Maculot for three times.

I have been to Boracay for three times.

I have seen the underground cave.

I have explored the islands of Coron and Puerto Princessa.

I ate authentic chicken inasal in Bacolod.

I have stayed in Pearl Farm, Davao.

I saw the Chocolate Hills with my hubby.

I was with Gunner at Corregidor.

I love chocolates, walnuts and carrot cake.

I love buco.

I want to spend more wisely and focus on a single project a year.

I want to study and teach.

I want to take more beautiful photos.

I want to go to Seoul and Busan.

I want to practice and improve my Hangul.

I want to pick strawberries with Dani in Baguio.

I want to experience Pico de Loro or Hamilo Coast

I wonder about the luxurious life

I want to cherish my friendship with Julie, Olgs and Bane

I want to spend more time with my family and in-laws

I want to lose 15lbs and shape up, be healthy

On a clear, dark night, I want to lie down and look at the stars

I don't care much about politics in goverment or at work

I try not to care about my ex's

I try not to be materialistic

I want to move on and not care about Pru mean girls

I want to read Neil Gaiman

I want to have a proper music and reading room

I want to have my piano tuned

I try to update myself with the latest trend but not be obsessive much

I still don't like doing housework

I constantly remind myself not to covet, not to be envious, not to compare

I am to be a better person, to be brave and not be scared of change
