Eva soothes me
The Eva Cassidy, I mean :D Somewhere between changing pcs and players I lost her music. Today I found her again and instantly relaxed as I listen to her rendition of "Over the Rainbow" and "Fields of Gold". Which reminds me to grab some Norah Jones (to break the monotony hihi).
Also, thanks to limewire, I can now add some Braveheart OST tracks in my list :) Listening to "The Secret Wedding" gave me goosebumps haay, I'd love to watch that movie again soon.

Early Splish Splash
Today wasn't as sunny as yesterday. However, I pleaded to hubby to let Dani swim at the pool even for 15mins. Hindi naman sa gusto kong lumala ang ubo ng anak ko pero, I just know that she'll have a blast in the water for a change.
True enough, nagenjoy sila ng pinsan nya. Buchoy initially didn't want to swim. Later on, nainggit na yata kay Dani and decided to join us kahit walang dalang swim wear. Haay, just seeing my daughter squeal from delight, talagang it makes my heart melt. Sana lang wag akong magsisi mamaya. So far, she's not showing any signs of colds kundi patay ako kay hubby hehe

Death and Taxes
According to Joe Black, two things that are certain in life: Death and Taxes.
Taxes, no problem. My ITR is already filled up and filed, thanks to our HR. I hope yours are too.
Death, no one can really prepare you for that. At least for the pain which I image will engulf you once it happens to your loved ones. I believe, no matter how short or long, one must mourn. From there eventually heal, deal and move on.
My sympathies and prayers to you my friend.

Today's best buy
- We have a new laptop (forgive me but I don't remember the model, HP500 something), hubby got for only P38K. Basically, it's running on a Pentium Core Duo@1.66Ghz1GB RAM, still working on the budget for memory upgrade. I'm still trying to get used to it's keys layout.
- Finally got a hold onto a paperback copy of Twilight (P339) last saturday at powerbooks. Suprisingly it was displayed together with Children's Books. I wouldn't have noticed it if it was elsewhere. One will need to spend about P580 for a hardbound copy ( a much lower rate, last time I checked it was priced at P700 or so). Started reading the night after and finished the book by 2AM yesterday. Toni was right, it is an amazing book.
- I'm trying to compile a slowrock favorites youtube collection. Will post it sometime this week :)
- I already have a copy of Once (thanks to mich), will try to watch it..hmm.. maybe on thursday night.
- Currently sad that I haven't digiscrapped in a month or so.
- Together with my sis, went to DFA last friday, personal appearance for my passport renewal.
- I'm so behind my work schedule :p
- Hubby and I were on leave yesterday. We had a minor car accident with a couple riding a motorbike. If I have time, I'll blog about it. The whole thing was draining.
- I have 712 unread posts in my bloglines. I probably have read 75% of them at work (thanks to google reader) but I've been wanting to comment. Soon my friends, I'll drop by soon.

I Am Legend
Yup, I just finished watching the deebeedee. When I first saw the trailer, I was eagerly anticipating for it, expecting ala-28days/weeks later kind of action. But I heard from a F@W that it's more geared to Tom Hanks' "Castaway" with lots of monologue. Sounds boring but still a bit intrigued. Was able to borrow it from Dani's ninong yesterday, popped it in the player and an hour and a half later, I felt a great sense of parental paranoia and ask myself.
What does the future hold for my Dani?
Monsters in various forms.. argh!
Tsk. Its bad not only for my heart but also for my sanity..really. I remembered Mhay's post about The Powerful Prayer of Mothers and immediately said a short prayer for my daughter asking God to please look after her. I seldom pray nowadays but even before I rarely pray for myself. It's just that I trust God too much that I know He'll take care of everything. Either that or I'm taking Him far too much for granted.
Anyways, just what to let it out here:
I have nothing to fear.
All we need is just a little faith.
God is with me.

Our New Pet
As promised, here's our mini-project for our little daughter. We'll see how long they'll last :D My daughter enjoys looking at different animals whenever we pass by petshops :) I guess she loves fish most of all, thanks to nemo :)We were supposed to get a pair of pinkish parrot fish (P380 each@Petsborough) but settled for three local goldfish instead. If they'll survive for three months and we'll see if we can afford something more fancy :)

After pre-registering via text, I immediately received confirmation and the following day even received a reminder.
We were expected to register around 12-ish lunch as the program will start by 1pm. Soon after, we received paper, kids were supposed to color. Ample crayons were provided, kids were behaved enough to know how to share with others. Buti naman walang makulit, pero maraming malikot including my dani haha :D
Some of the adults will comment on my dani being a sociable kid, kakatuwa daw. Others daw kasi tend to shy away to strangers and true enough, my daughter was smiling to everyone who greeted her :D
She immediately posed beside the balloons.
Trying to color, knows how to handle her crayons well :D

We're Back!
I've already uploaded some nova photos in dani's flickr account. Our visit to my IL's place was short but sweet :) the little girl had an away-bati relationship with her ate gerah, kids being kids :) my bet is that she had a grand time playing with her and making lambing at pa-star to her grandparents, tita and titos :)

Friday, I've read from N@W that Kidster will hold an arts and crafts free session at Powerbook Greenbelt. I immediately texted to pre-register for the said event. I've been wanting to bring along Dani to powerbook as I know she'll love it there. Just the thought of browsing countless of kid books with dani makes me more excited for the coming weekend.
We left Nova about 930am and arrived pretty early in makati. We tried parking at the new Anson's building across Landmark to make it easy for us to go back to our car after buying groceries later. Anyways, since we had plenty of time, we decided to look at Rustan's if they had a grape alice in dani's size. Sadly, no stock available. Dani did get to try kid stuffs on display hehe
We then went to glorietta's playground. Good thing, wala pa masyadong kids.
We didn't stay for the program "Totally Spies" and had an early lunch at Food Choices instead. We showed up at Powerbooks by 1230 and there are already some kids and parents inside. I'll blog about the session on a separate post :)

Movie: Jumper
we actually had a pre-valentines date tuesday night as we were able to snag tickets to Jumper movie premiere. i haven't done any further research on the movie afterwards so I really can't say if its worth watching. If you're after the action scenes, then yup you'll have certainly have your fix here. However, in the end, I was looking for something like "bigger than me" theory from the story but maybe there's a sequel for it. My sister and I think it's kind of bitin, baka nga may susunod pa :p that or I wasn't listening well haha I actually thought I my brain froze from the cinema's way too low temperature.

At work
Whatever possessed me to have my photo taken on this boring work day? :p Boredom, whatelse!
Most of my collegues were out, Minnie and I were messing around with her cam, testing the new 1GB SD Card (P600) she bought for me.
Couple of clicks after, I felt a huge relief when I blurted out to her that I have just had a crush. It felt weird having that feeling again, acknowledging it to myself and debating if i should tell someone. After letting it out, it just felt normal, a bit giddy for a while yes, silly even like a highschool girl sharing some secret with her bestfriend.
I silently laughed at Irmee's comment: "nagkakacrush ka rin pala.." Yes, mare, I am but a woman with a pair of eyes that can appreciate beauty haha. No more, no less :D

Crush
We were scheduled to have a meeting with a vendor for testing tool this afternoon. My boss called me, as I forgot cause I was on the phone with Dani, and so I went inside the room. There seated, three gentlemen and decided to seat beside the one on my left. I looked at him and immediately noticed his profile. Wow, ang guwapo! :D No wonder, sya kasi yung account executive :D Para syang anime, kasi mala-japanese ang mga mata nya.
From his left, seated another equally good looking gent with a bandaged right hand.. hmm.. mukhang sporty hihi baka badminton, i assumed :D As for the third guy, well his just another guy haha
On goes the demo leaded by the third guy but the second guy decided to take over to answer more complicated questions. He turns out to be the lead trainor of the said application. He knows his stuff. Impressed na naman ang lola mo :D
Ayun, the demo ended and I get to shake hands with the two guys except the trainor. Escape na agad ang drama ng lola mo. Sa totoo lang, yoko malaman nya na pasmado/pawisan ang kamay ko hihi. I didn't even get his name. Oh well, it's all for the best ;)

This post may seem like a spoiler for my plans come heart's day but the way things are going, its more likely not going to happen so i'll share it anyway to any of you who might be wondering what else to do differently for that special day.

Genuine Sincerity
I have this fear of being seen as a mommy first, as if being one makes me the least interesting person you've met on earth. One can sense my eagerness to answer the question, "How's your baby?". You see, when I was single and I'd get to "chat" with acquaintances who will immediately rave about their child's milestones, chances are I'll be flashing a smile while listening half-heartedly while my mind wonders about something.. err.. more interesting.
Exactly, I'm guilty.
Kaya nga sometimes I wonder when I'm ask about Dani, if she really wanted to know or is she just striking a conversation. I also know this mommy, who when asked about her child, would instantly talk about him non-stop. And I admire her for it pero it would be nice to talk to her about something other than her child hehe Pero I understand her naman because who doesn't love to talk about their child, diba? We're always ever proud mommies. But I sure am glad, I have this blog or Dani's blog for that matter.
Now, where does all of these came from? I am not making much sense.

She doesn't have a child (not sure if by choice or what), late 40s, and she "knows" about parenting through her nieces and nephews (so once in a while i get unsolicited advice from her). One time she asked me, one of the most feared question, "How's Dani?" Previously I gave her short replies like .. "she's ok naman." or "ayun, nasa house taong bahay." I wouldn't expound anymore. However, this time she followed-up with, "Does she know how to count already?" In other times, I wouldn't have thought much about it. But it seems to me there's something in the tone of her voice. Like all of her previous questions flashed back and made me think, why is she asking these questions? Is she really interested? Does she really want to know? Why does she want to know?
I am such a bad judge on sincerity. I used to like everyone. tsk.

But I do try.
Sometimes, best effort can only get you so far and still one will be measured based on successful timely delivery of a solution.
And that my dear is why I hate evaluation period.

Weekend Photos
It was already past 1pm when Cris, one of hubby's basketball buddies, drove by and told me her we're invited to her daughter's birthday party later at 3pm. Hala, I remember yaya sel told me about it last week but since we didn't receive any formal invitation (which most likely will be posted on the fridge as a reminder), forgot about it.
eto na nga, buti tulog si dani kaya nakasaglit kami ng SM Dasma to buy gift for later. pagdating namin, gising na si dani and then pumunta na kmi sa phase 1 kung san andun yung party.
One thing's for sure, dani's still scared of clowns. Ayaw talaga lumapit. After the party, dumaan muna kami sa playground which I know super gusto ni dani :D i took some photos and uploaded in dani's flickr account, go look and see :D

a girl with a guy who she's not supposed to be with. the guy is hiding from something or someone and the girl (who currently is committed to a "perfect" boyfriend) decided to stay with the guy and accompany him in his hiding. she doesn't know it yet but i think she's attracted to him in a certain way that made her want to be with him while they are on the run.* * *
a old couple, lying in bed watching tv with the wife leaning on the left arm of her husband, it was just an ordinary night. when suddently death is upon them, telling them to close their eyes to make it easy for them before the bullet hits their head. they were trying hard to obey as they were told but they would rather die looking at each other, seeing the love from each other's eyes.

there are other sets of people, i think three more pero but these two are the last that i can remember before i was able to put it in writing. it all happened in a heroes-series-like-sequence. Like as if all them are presented to me separately but in the end they are all related in some ways.
i woke up with a weird feeling of a love-sick puppy or a hopeless romantic. i was hit by cupid's arrow too early for valentines :p

Solids and Stripes
My kin came from the province same as Efren "Bata" Reyes. Yeah he's The King of The Hill making him one of the richest athletes (that doesn't go home with black eye bruises) in the Philippines. My dad loves to play billiards but I am just not gifted with the sharp eyes for it. I happen to try online snooker games that was suggested by my sister. It was fun 'cause you get to meet other players online and play snooker with them. Once you hone your skills to the finest, why not try getting into one of their Billiard Tournaments?

My sister's boyfriend has been complaining about his old car, a Ford Focus. He said it's just so hard to find good Ford auto parts. HK Trip: Planning
So I've finally made up my mind to sidetrip to Macau for our HK Trip and basically here's our schedule:
Day 1 - Mar 5, Wed
AM - HK Airport to Macau
No visa required, just purchase a ferry ticket to macau. Checkin would be after lunch so we'll probably do some touring first.
PM - Macau
One night at macau, still deciding whether to splurge on hotel or book a dorm room :p I sent an inquiry for august.de and we'll see. If not then we'll most probably go for The Beverly Hotel (P3.5K) just because breakfast is already included. Unless, we could stay in Victoria Hotel for only P2.5K and just eat outside.
* I'm thinking I'm missing a lot for not being in HK on Wed, since its when most museums are free for all, o baka naman ok lang kasi wala namng msyadong photo opp sa museum hihi

I figured we'll be out most of the time so I just booked a room for 2 nights at Dragon Hostel (P2.8K). For days now, I've been thoroughly researching on HK kaya I dont get to blog and bloghop much. Ganito yata ako talaga, hindi ako mapakali hangga't hindi ko napa-plan ng maayos in detail (how to get there, ETA, tips and tricks, etc). Gusto ko kasi lahat ng sulit puntahan mapuntahan :D I even have our trip plotted in Yahoo!Travel hihi

should we buy luggage sets?
Day 1 - Mar 5, Wed
AM - HK Airport to Macau
No visa required, just purchase a ferry ticket to macau. Checkin would be after lunch so we'll probably do some touring first.
PM - Macau
One night at macau, still deciding whether to splurge on hotel or book a dorm room :p I sent an inquiry for august.de and we'll see. If not then we'll most probably go for The Beverly Hotel (P3.5K) just because breakfast is already included. Unless, we could stay in Victoria Hotel for only P2.5K and just eat outside.
* I'm thinking I'm missing a lot for not being in HK on Wed, since its when most museums are free for all, o baka naman ok lang kasi wala namng msyadong photo opp sa museum hihi
Day 2 - Mar 6, Thur
AM - HK, Lantau Island
Big Buddha, Po Lin Monastery
PM - Window Shopping at Citigate
I figured we'll be out most of the time so I just booked a room for 2 nights at Dragon Hostel (P2.8K).
