Yesterday, we spent the day offline. Picture me watching "The Happening" in our laptop, Dadi's watching "Wanted" in the big TV and Dani watching "Firebird Rescue" in the small TV all at the same time. Hindi naman kami couch potatoes. We were able to make up for it by taking a dip in our clubhouse's pool late afternoon.

To tell that the little girl was tired is an understatement hehe After magbanlaw at magbihis, she didnt have any qualms when we turned off the lights. She went to dreamland seconds after finishing her milk.

We'll be malling today. Not sure if i'll be able to blog when we return. Hope you're having a great sunday!

Dirty Laundry

I remember a previous post from my sister on her friend commenting on exposing one's dirty laundry in public, howelse but through one's blog.  Admittedly as I google my nick, my real name or things that can point to this blog back to the real me and found several results, subconsiously I somehow became wary about my topics.  Initally when I first blogged, I didn't want to be found. I just wanted to post and share and rant and dream, just to keep everything off my chest and move on.  Publishing my thoughts to strangers is one thing but having someone you know come to you say, I read your blog, is a different ball game all together.  The next thing I know, when asked if I have one,  I find myself hesitantantly (if not vaguely) giving away keywords (as I doubt if that person can remember the whole URL unless I have a card with my blog address in it to give away hehe) as I mentally search my blog archive of possible related about that person.

Why do i blog? <-- in case you found me.

Saturday afternoon, we went to Makati and attended a baptismal. Reception was held in a nearby condo. Nawala ang antok ni Dani pagkakita sa pool. Gusto nang lumusong. While dani was trying to undress herself:

Dani: Dadi, swim si Dani sa pool.
Dadi: Anak, naiwan natin sa house yung swim suit mo eh.
Dani: Kunin natin, come on!

alright, as if ang lapit ng bahay natin anak hehe she made do by splashing her foot with water instead. she fell asleep on our way home. Tuloy-tuloy na until the next day.

yan ang kalaban ko ngayon. health month kasi sa company namin and they offered free chlesterol and sugar analysis. Suprisingly, laki pa ng allowance ko sa sugar, BP's normal. eto ang nakakatawa..

on a serious note, normal pa naman pero mejo tumaas ang cholesterol ko as compared last year :( kaya eto trying to exercise at least 30mins everyday. i'm not sure kung kakayanin kong magoatmeal pang substitute sa isa sa mga meals/snacks ko. we'll see. baby steps muna.

Kuto

yup, si yaya ay may kuto. si dani ay may kuto.. ako ngayon ay may kuto. nakakahiya no? pero ganun talaga, pag nahawaan ka, no choice kundi magsuyod at gumamit ng anti-headlice shampoo.

nalaman ko to kahapon, pasaring na sinabi ng kumare ko na sinabi ng katulong nila na kinukutuhan nya daw si yaya. tama namang nangamot ng ulo ang anak ko at dali-daling tinignan ng isa pa naming kapitbahay at nakasipat ng isang patay na lisa. magdamag kong inisip kung ano ba ang dapat kong gawin dahil nga sa aking non-confrontational at uber-sensitive nature, inabot ako hanggang kaninang hapon para lapitan sya tungkol dito.

pano ba naman nakakita na ko ng mahigit na sampung buhay na lisa galing sa anak ko nung sinusuklayan ko sya pagkatapos maligo.

pagdating nya dito sa bahay nakita kong mejo mahaba pa rin ang kanyang buhok pero nakatali naman. bago ako magkulong sa kwarto, pinuntahan ko muna sya at kinausap. sabi ko wag syang magagalit sakin at pinilit ko syang magpagupit kasi mahirap na pag si dani ang nagkakuto (which meron na nga) at kung may problema man sya sa kung anuman, sabihin nya lang samin para makatulong kasi syempre iniisip din naman namin sya. ayun, tumango naman.

kanina, imbes na magpakasasa ako sa internet habang nagpapaantok eh sinamantala ko ang himbing na pagkakatulog ng aking anak at binusisi ang kanyang ulo. madami-dami na rin akong naalis na lisa at nakakuha na rin ako ng dalawang inahen. wala pa naman akong nakikitang kuyumad na mahirap hulihin dahil sobrang bilis neto.

tamang duda, ako naman ang nagsuyod at nakakuha ako ng isang inahen. hindi pa naman kumakati ulit ang anit ko at puro patay na lisa ang nasipat ko pero bukas magsusuyod ulit ako't gagamit din ng anti-headlice shampoo.

grabe na ito, minsan lang ako makapagblog, nakakadiri pa ang topic ko. oh well, ni-share ko lang. just in case you'll be in the same predicament in the future ;)

Yup, I had a treatment and cut last saturday morning. I've no suki parlor so I just told my husband to drive me to the nearest one :) Lekat na bading ayaw akong gupitan ng mas maikli kasi tataba daw ako. Hay, I'll just think of it as a challenge talagang kelangan na magpapayat kung gusto ko ng short-short hair.

Maya ko magkwento, internet and dani-willing :D Meanwhile: promotional products ang sidebet ko :)

ang natitirang kinse minutos bago magsimulang magtrabaho. at least nailathala ko na ang ibang saluobin ko nitong mga nakaraan araw. Ay, hindi pa pala masyado't puros pangyayari lang ang naipahayag ko.

lekat, ang hirap talaga maggawa ng salaysayin ng buo sa tagalog. Anyways, I was able to finish The Lovely Bones at naiyak akong sobra. Wan ko parang gusto kong isulat lahat tungkol sa buhay ko (limited topics to selected readers, of course) lalo na yung masasayang alaala na gusto kong iwan sa mga minamahal ko sa buhay. Tapos binalikan ko (more like scanned a chapter) ang Five People.., yung concept ng misis nya of heaven: everyday is a wedding day. Iniisip ko kung ano ang Heaven sakin, kasi definetly ayoko naman ng palaging masaya, parang nakakauta rin yun diba?

At syempre dahil nasa trabaho ako ngayon, unti-unti nang dumadami ang katauhan dito :) Kaya yun lang, may bago lang akong entry dito't maparamdam na buhay at masaya ako eh solb na ko nun ;) O sya, work is calling :) Pasyal na lang ako sa mga blog nyo mya ;)

This was taken last Aug. 9, Saturday. Blessed with a good sunshine, we decided to setup her pool and invited dani's kinakapatid, kuya leal. They stayed there until 11am and would've stayed longer if they can have it their way hehe

We had an intermitent connection the whole week that's why I'm not so inspired to blog which in turn gave me some time to do some simple layouts instead ;)

I'm brewing a thought on a new blog inspired by the child in me. We'll see if it'll push through.

Hope you all had a nice weekend, ours were great if not for dani's cold which turned up last night ;p

And since the little girl can only manage to make a ball, slice or squash flat the dough, with a little help from use, these are the stuffs we made with clay.

Friday night, I bought some clay doughs for our weekend activity. Come saturday morning, since my little one cannot do so much yet with clay. She entertained herself by stacking the cups instead :) I also made a small obstacle course for her by piling two cups on top of each other, four in a row and led her to jump on each careful not to topple them down :)

College Friends

Friday night, luckily even with short notice, our ladies night out pushed through, yey! :D J didn't make it as she's in Canada already but I'm just glad even for a couple of hours we were able to make chika and squeezed months of updates about each other. O picked up the bill as her card has a discount in Teriyaki Boy :D Good thing Paseo Center is just near to all of us. B initially just wanted to pass by but ended up staying and had dinner with us. Mostly we talked about B and her heart, how and when did she decided that call it quits. Countered by O's non-existent lovelife and well we didn't talk too much about me as I look pretty much ok for them therefore, not much to say. I don't mind.. I like to listen to them anyway and I they could always look me up here in my blog :p

As expected, time was too short and we were all excited to schedule a follow up session. I, being the organizer-- as usual, would have to research and schedule first and notify proper authorities (read: hubby). We are looking at O's birthday, first week of September :)

Yes, last paragraph is a reminder for me :p

I would pluck flowers and sip their sweet nectar. A bunch of ixora coccinea aka santan flowers are fun to flick until all petals are gone. Carefully pulling out the center pops a tiny ball of sweet liquid, such a delight to my taste buds.

Other options would be violets or red fountain plants from my Nanay's flower garden.

Ilocano in Me

So I searched amazon for interesting books i found from some friend's reading list, armed with my list I went to powerbooks which by the way is on sale for the whole of August.

As I browsed through some, I just couldn't get myself to get the book and proceed to the counter and pay. Mostly likely I will browse for another book and see if it's much more deserving of my "investment".

In the end, I went home empty handed.

Namamahalan talaga ako sa books.

The chances that I will re-read them again are so slim that I would so prefer to just borrow.

Pity me.

Topic during our commute last night was child memories - unusual food you ate when you were a kid. Here's a few I remember:

Rice with any or all of the following toppings: Milo/Ovaltine/Birch Tree/Nido/Sugar
Pouring brewed batangas coffee on plain rice
Star Margarine Rice
Palakang buntis - my Apong Babae (grandma) will stuff the stomach of frog with ground pork (i think) and deep fry

One grade school summer afternoon, I had nothing better to do and decided to climb the guava tree beside my grandparents house. Perched on a thin (but sturdy) branch, with the flowing brown river and green rice fields as my backdrop, I sang my heart out.

I could care less whenever a bangkero passes by every now and then.

I do think I woke up the pigs ;p

Perfect Timing

Geez, blogger is down, just when I got inspired to write something. Anyways, I feel great today. A bit pre-PMSy mood but better than yesterday. I was able to do a short run this morning, showered with Juno, ate longaniza and egg for breakfast, a good start. Plus, I read spoilers of Breaking Dawn from Toni's blog, it's as if I've read it already so less pressure to get a copy. Can I also add that I'm listening to Jason's I'm yours :)

I won't hesitate no more, no more

To run or not to run

that is the question ;) i woke up at 4am, figured maybe I should do a 30min run to start the day. Yet another attempt to lose weight or at least be healthy. Guess what I did.. I blogged :p I thought maybe I'd pass time since it's still pretty dark outside. I did pass time alright haha its 5am, time to get ready for another week of work, work and work.

looking forward to seeing my parents tonight though. it sure feels like we're living overseas as yesterday, we had a voice chat, complete with webcam and all ;p it saved us a lot from long distance calls you know ;)

hopefully, my blogging mojo will still me kicking later this evening. have a nice day!
